Awesome pics! My first camera was a 35mm Spotmatic that went to Vietnam and back. I stripped a gear and took it to a camera shop to be repaired. They took 2 months to "find the parts" and when they still couldn't, I asked for it back and was told "they lost it."krazy skwerelette wrote: here are a few of my digital shots taken with my Pentax K 2000:
Fantastic photos!krazy skwerelette wrote:^ Thanks! and I'd be pissed if someone 'lost' my camera. I don't have a film one anymore but the one i had was a newer Minolta. If I get another 35mm it'll be an older kodak that's all manual.
Yes i have actually. We used some in a basic photography class I did. If you really like older looking photos i got this awesome trick to play with.. take a Polaroid camera and when you pull the film out as it's developing you rip it apart and place it on something.. like metal, wood, glass.. and it transfers the image... the only downer is it's super difficult to find Polaroid film anymore.. if i remember right we used fujifilmskydragoness wrote:Have you messed around with Holgas at all?

Yeah I hear ya on the chemicals. They are pretty nasty. I just feel prouder of my work out of the dark room, especially color, because it takes so long to get that refined and beautiful picture. Digital is too easy! hahah but i also love the clarity of the photos for digital.. like this picture i took at the cologne cathedral, i didn't edit the sky at all, it is just soo blue. I don't think i could capture all that detail and the sky be that blue with film.skydragoness wrote:Yeah, it's a shame about the death of the Polaroid, but maybe it will return at 3x the original cost in a trendy package at Urban Outfitters.![]()
I've done black and white film developing as a kid but digital photography is better for the environment/health. All 'dem' chemicals y'know.
