It was a 55gal. I don't have the kind of money to spend on fish at the moment, so I'll be putting that off until at least the Fall. I haven't done much research on saltwater, because if it catches my interest enough I'll end up buying it tomorrow lol.Pieceofsand wrote:^^ your link doesn't work.
basically the bigger the tank, the easier it is to keep the maintenance. that goes for both fresh and salt water tanks.
salt water is a bit harder than fresh water. and would cost more because you have to buy the salt. once you go through the ammonia-nitrite-nitrate cycle and the water becomes stable it's just as easy as fresh water. salt water fish are far more interesting than fresh water fish. you might as well get live rocks if you're getting a salt water tank.
i wouldn't go any less than 30 gallon if i'm aiming for salt water. go 50-75.
Actually, our rats are on a good diet. We don't feed them a lot of crazy crap. Barbie likes cereal (none of the junk, the good stuff), cookies and pretzels. Oprah really likes celery. Both of them love the end pieces off all the veggies when I make salad. We got them the week before Christmas and they have grown A LOT. They are big enough you can scratch their bellies. As for their teeth, I get wooden blocks for them to chew on. No issues so far. They don't stink. The only thing that has any odor is their pee and that's true of any animal. Dar's pretty good about keeping their cage cleaned out. They get baths, just like the rest of the critters.RCA wrote:Not gunna lie, pet rat looks AWESOME! Does it eat any and every thing like the rats in the sewers? DO you need to do anything special to their big teeth? Does it smell?
