thats a bunch of b/s but sure lol.

but yea, NICO is the best place to go for info. It just sucks for me because where I live, there are only a handful of people that actually have a S-Chassis and are on NICO. it really stinks..

And this also is why people sometimes don't like NICO...

People's attitudes play a big role (in my opinion) in the amount of people on NICO... No one wants to deal with that... Sarcasm and obnoxiousness...

And, shouldn't this thread be in the "General Chat" forum?

I guess they DO come here to have little slap and tickle times. Calling people "bishes" and things. Little cute acronyms and stuff.

Kisses, pinches, ticklessssssssssssss

No, seriously. I'll take jabs at BH and we have massively different opinions, but he doesn't go out and say stuff like this on the boards...

Quote »psht... STFU n00b... -_-

you're just mad because you drive a Honda... and you want another s13... quit whining... you little bish... [/quote]...that really makes this site look elitist and lame to anyone on the outside.

BH over the last few months has become very active and has contributed many things, and you're citing him as a reason people don't like Nico sometimes?

I speak English, a very unrefined, backwoods version, but in the end it is English.

Gah, I hate some of the computer jargon sometimes. That junk has got to be screwing up the reading and writing comprehension of children in America.

I feel like everytime I learn the meaning of some acronym or assorted collection symbols forming a word that I can feel portions of my brain disintegrate and exit my skull with my boogers.

That's just me though.

I remember when NICO was the forum of forums, the cool place to hang out, where everyone helped everyone & a good time was had by all. It used to be us bash freshalloy (no offense to anyone in this thread) & zilvia, now i see a lot of nico bashing.

ya know greg created a great place here and welcomed anyone and everyone. Unfortunately as the years went by, that everyone including the snot nosed little punks who think they know everything, their dad is the richest man in the world and the only person that knows more than them, and their car is the ****, but yours is a pile of ****.

I hate to say it, but i think we should some sort of premium membership option.

either pay a yearly fee (like $20 on explorerforum, where i stay a lot) or you have to have been a member for so long.

I think maybe also the mods trying to clean up some of the dumb posts or threads as best they can would help to. Like new rules int he stickies that say if you post about what springs to buy or whatnot it will get deleted.

another possibility is something like newbs can only post in the general chat section until they get so many posts or have been a member for at least a week or two. to give them time to get a feel for the site and it's rules.

I don't know how many of you were around back when, but i think a big part of the change has come since stacey (mom) is no longer with us. She could lighten up an entire thread with one post. And the site does seem different without her influence here.

EDIT: on the topic of cleaning up, greg i sent an email your way about an idea i had. look for my addy [email protected]

I wish I was here when Stacy was,

people have spoken fondly of her.

but Back to greg's statement... NICO's only as good, as what you're doing at the track or in the garage.

a powershot, a little photobucket, and its like magic all over.

Thx for the kind words, Stev0n... I miss her a ton, but she'd have wanted us to keep helping people out (newbies and all).

Got your email, discussion pending.

I'd like to encourage everyone who enjoys it here to get other people involved, whether it be by sending a link to your favorite thread to people in your address book, dropping some tagging cards on the Nissans in your 'hood, or just posting up what's going on with your current project (even if it seems inconsequential).

Some of the best threads come from those kinds of expansion, and always keep in mind two things:

We were all rookies once, and there's always someone who will look at your knowledge base, shake their head, and think, "n00b".

Hell, before I even owned an S13 I swore I'd never have one...

im tired of the basing that high school kids get. some of us r mechanically inclined and others are just dumb noobs who dont search, start stupid threads and think everything is "JDM TYTE". personally i dont go around braging and saying im the ****... i know i have things to learn and i thought the 240 would be a great project car and am currently in the process of a rb20 swap ]

i look up to the older guys like carl H and harte and all the others just tired of getting grouped in with all the other high school kids

thank you, but you just reminded me of something.

"JDM TYTE"

I wish that phrase would become outlawed just like the F word and most other bad words on here.

PLEASE.

"Welcome to post whores anonymous"

We cannot simply allow high post counts to account for intelligence. I know there is a huge difference between a post whore and someone who is there to actually help the poster, but I see a few new members who post up BS just so they get in the classifieds or tell the OP something that they have no clue about. Then every other post or reply is a question that has been answered a thousand times. I try to read every new post in the 240sx gen, 240sx technical, and both ka sections every night before bed, but I hardly ever post because the level of intelligent topics has deteriorated so much. If I had posted replies to every post I've read then I would have a 10,000 post count by now. I've been a member here for almost 3 years now, but only have a post count of just over 200. Lately I have seen a few good build's and some in depth topics in the ka-t section, but beside that it's been junk.
im with spank i dont answer on too many threads and i think it should be on time based if there is a "Cigar Lounge"

I think we all get on a bashing band wagon and we dont give the newbs a chance,I for one admit it,that i dont.Sometimes we over look that most of us were there once and just didnt know.Sometimes even if you do search AND find the answer your still unforsure about things, and like me and most others we have alot of money and time in our cars and we dont want to mess anything up.Sometimes its just reasureing to have somebody explain it to you and help you through it,THATS WHAT WERE HERE FOR.Theres a diffrence between helping them and spoon feeding it to them, thats were we need to find the balance.

Now when a noob just keeps posting stupid threads and doesent listen then that to me is grounds for flaming.
