Hi i'm very new to this forum, and at that, very new to the 240sx S13 / SR20DET Swap so PLEASE PLEASE dont jump on me if i asked a very stupid question, i really dont kno alot about this swap. So here I go...

I dont like Hondas, so i turn to 240's. I dont like the stock KA engine so I turn to the SR20DET. Here's my question..

The Engine, 5-Speed RWD Transmission, ECU, Complete Wiring(Un-Cut), Ignitor Chip the only basic parts I need for a complete swap?

This is for a 91 240sx and the sr20 is for a 91-93 s13 redtop.

Thnx for all the help.

there are lots of things that dont usualy come with motor sets, like intercoolers and IC piping and radiator hoses and you also need a new fuel pump, and there si more, I just cant think of it right now, your better off getting a front clip, its much safer and easyer.

I usually hate people that say "search" when there is no direct answer, but this is a SR swap.

use these:http://www.google.com http://www.yahoo.comhttp://www.dogpile.com

use the words, "sr20det" , "nissan engine swap" , "s13 swap" , "etc"do some very basic research, and you'll figure out the rest as you go along.

Rich

PS. Hondas are freaking awesome! Dont hate... understand and apply!

If you want a nice smooth swap with everything that will get you on the road as soon as you're done then go with one of heavy throttles clips. If you want to waste more money and time, try to find a cheap engine online.

Done multiple swaps, those that tried to go cheap ends up paying more for the swap and running not only that, runs like crap until you dump more money into it. Go with heavy throttle...

If the SR wasn't so awesome, i'd jump off this bandwagon while it's going 100mph now.

my 2cents would eb to get the clip and not plan to put it in for a month.. take the trans off and see if you need a clutch(did a swap where the motor had a brand new hks 3-puck and a lighted flywheel)..and other items you might need... then put it in..don't rush you will make mistakes and it will cost you more in the long run... or mybe just turbo the ka...
