Of note - find out if and when your timing belt was ever changed. If you can't - get it done. When getting it done, inspect the hydrolic tensioner to make sure it still does something. I had a bad one on a '97 J30 when it only had 90K miles. (I have 248,000 on the same chassis now...) Make sure you do your routine maintenance, oil changes, etc. and have fun with it. If you super-love the car plan on being it's last owner. I love the Q45, but I think the J30 was the most solid vehicle of the 90's era Infiniti cars. [The Q requires more maintenance and has more electronics that fail, the G20 is simple enough but is kind of entry-level... M30s are hard to come by but are generally solid, and the I30/I35 is the VIP version of the Maxima...]
