Ill be alright. I hear thats pushing it for the SR. I may end up keeping the Sr but like i said i may take it to the strip every now and then.

Whats the point in an RB then? Im just tired of Sr 240s and i want to do a swap thats somewhat challenging.

for someone thats new to nissans, its a little funny to hear you say your tired of sr nissans and that you need a challenge. trust me the sr can easy put down 400 whp, but if you really want to deal with swapping in an rb go ahead.

Yeah i know what you mean. Im am new to nissans but not the whole "Scene". There are a bunch of 240s running around my are with Srs and thats the swap i hear most about. Im am not trying to say its a bad investment or anthing but i only seen 1 or 2 RB swapped 240s. Plus RBs sound nasty.

Hey guys Sry for the wait. Well i have made up my mind. I want to save for my own garage and make this body a bit nicer. So i will stick the the Sr swap rebuild and see where it takes me.

So i got just a few pics today.

Pics are w/ my phone BTW. Still good though.

HORAY!!!! for keeping the sr. It may seem like a fad and hater magnet (for those anti "comformist" ) its a good engine. for daily/drift 300 rwhp and a good suspension is more than enough. Good luck wit the build dude

good choice on keeping the sr. let me know if you need any parts. i'm sure i have some sr parts laying around and i know i have a bunch of interior parts, which it looks like you need . after my car is back on the road, i'd also be willing to pitch in and give a hand working on your car

Thanx. I was thinking about getting some Momos or Brides. Since i dont have a drivers seat. I think there one or two door panels in the trunk.

But as for the motor, idk if ill want to keep it "OEM". If i do need to get new pisons, i was just thinkng about gettin the block for a bump up in compression. Then a get a IM and exhaust, and turbo etc...

But yea lemme kno what you got.

Got a ? though. I have to get new key so does anyone have any experience of gettin a key made from scratch??

Is it possible to use the VIN for nissan? or is there any other key code on the body or locks themselves?

you can use the vin to get a key for most Nissans, but that s13 is too old for them to have on file. there might be a code in the glovebox but if not, take teh lock mechanism out of the door and take it to a locksmith to have a new key made

how do i start...i come from a suzuki samurai background (I regret selling that puppy everyday) but congrats on getting rid of the crx. that said, if your main goals are drifting, youll want to start out with a diff uprade. this and probably bushings will help you get more used to the dynamics of the s13. your engine (In this case THE SR)/drivetrain/suspension is enough for you to learn. coming from off road, i know you will run into snags/breaks, after you get the bithsh running and able to take the beating (the sr can if tuned and maintaned properly, parts r E-Z to come-by) redo the suspension, by that i mean upgrading w/coilovers. of corse (spelling, feelin the alcohol) your tires are of up most importance, as it they'retransferring all your power (thru the drivetrain) to pavement. i had a 1.3liter and could power slide well in the mud and snow well hows that for my introduction? Ive been reading the forums and driving my 89 for years now. got rid of my samurai due to insurance, whent into a vehicular depression, and my car found me one day, and i realized it was like an angel *clears throat from a lump and takes another leak* i saved her from the junker her PO almost took her to, she helps me rise out the ashes. the interior? get a gtr seat to cradle you in, or you can spend money and get a racing seat with a 5 point harness, cuz lets admit it wont look right with your autos going into place. welcome PS anyone else had or have a samurai on here, i learnd a lot from it

Well i finally yanked out the passenger side door handle and went to give it to the guy that makes locks. He's closed on tues, figures. So i have until basically this week to get a key made and get it towed out of where it is or i get the honor of replacing an IGN switch. *SIGHS*

Still dont know how he is going to make a key from scrath but as long as it happens im ok.

I have to buy a drivers side window. Are they difficult to install?

Do i have peak performance headers?

Idk how hard it is to tell from the design but it doesnt seem like there are many manufacturers making this type of design.

Ill probably look this weekend but if i cant find a label or anything i guess im out of luck, huh?...
