I don't see why everyone has to flame. He did something unique, give him props. And I'm sure it works just as good as any of the other cup holder write ups. And to everyone saying this has been covered a million times, check out the search button. It looks like 3 times, 4 with this one, none of them using wood.
But yea, I'd say make it so it sits flush with the rest of the plastic. It'd make it look way more clean, and try to get the wood to have less of a 'wood' look, if you know what I mean.

thanks two forty for the complement and yes it works great in fact it is in the perfect position to be accessible and out of the way of when I switch to 5spd plus the damn thing lights up at night making it easy to see where it is and it makes my drink glow lol plus it holds up to hard cornering without spilling my drink so it is form and function and to all who dont like the thread then dont go on it plus I dont give a crap what anyone thinks I made it I like it and it really looks better in person so if you wish lock the thread then do so if not thats fine too I'm not letting a cupholder thread consume my life and that is what I have to say about that.

Thanks for taking the advice man! I would like to see what it looks like now that it is flush. I would also think it would be cool to see it stained really dark, and still have the wood grain look to it!

OK! enough wynnEZ you have your opinion and two forty has his now both of you deal this was just a little thread that has now been turned into a shouting match so if you please I would like it if my threads from now on are not viewed as a place to go and argue. Mad props for being creative Cody. There are some people who can relate to what you have done. Like not spending a grip of money on something you can build yourself. It's simple, and effective. It does what you want it to do. And it may catch the fancy of the next person who wants a simple cup holder in their automatic car. WOOOHOOO 100th POST! Umm thanks man and I know its auto I think for the moment its ok cause I daily it to school and the car doesn't have any mods so I cant drift or race anyway so who cares plus I get great mileage with my cruise control lol
