Sweet prices! Do you have the viper 5000, that's the one with turbo timer right? And how difficult would it be to install since I already have the viper 350hv in my car? Would it use the same sensors? Just kinda pop the brain with this one?

Well, first off the Viper 5000 is an old unit. The Viper 5002 replaced it at least 2 years ago. Also, the 5000 or 5002 do not have turbo timer mode. It has to be a remote start system to do so. So if you read somewhere that the 5000 does turbo timer, then it's misinformation. EDIT: I did a quick Google search and sure enough I found some crap site that said the 5000 had turbo timer. That's why I despise all of these internet sites that aren't even authorized Viper dealers selling this stuff.

Any new Viper remote start unit or remote start/alarm unit will do turbo timer mode...... but it has to have at least remote start since that's what actually does the turbo timer. You can find all of the remote starter and remote starter/alarm units here:

zerothread?id=384467

The install would be totally different than your 350HV since the new unit would have all of the remote start wiring that would need to be wired in. If it's a manual transmission, then it will be even more work.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Toby

Compustar-

I'm not a fan of their remotes. They have always seemed cheap and overly plastic to me. The range is good on their models. From an installer's point of view, they are not as common sense as the DEI product.

Does Viper 5002 have remote starter? Or do I have to get another different model?

It does not.... these are alarms only. You can find the remote starters and remote starter alarms here:

The 5901 would be the better equivalent to the 5002 with the addition of a remote starter. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Yeah, sorry man! UPS doesn't run on Sat/Sun, so it won't go out until Monday. I tried to ship it out Friday, but I was just too backed up with shipping.

Thanks,

Toby

Well, I highly doubt many users on here will be parting with the cash it takes to buy one of those systems + all accessories. However, if you want a deal, you just have to ask!

What accessories do you want and I'll put together a package price for the 5901 and then one for the 5902.
