Thats where you guys come in. I'm going to post some more side shots and you guys can give me ideas for quarter windows and a rear window. It's photoshop time.

Yeah I'm really curious to see how it looks from the side without the quarter windows. I don't think they're necessary either but the pics make or break my opinion on that.

If both of your verts didn't have cages in them, I would have loved to see you guys craft a tonneau cover (similar to ones on Mustangs) and maybe some type of enclosing for where the top used to be when the hardtop is on.

Those lines look fantastic!!! From some previous pictures of other hardtops, I wasn't sure if I'd ever like a non-factory roof. But your's looks really nice!

I would do some side windows if it were mine. But it's up to you of course.

I agree. It looks pretty good.

How is the view of the inside? Do the blind spots really hamper your view?

I certainly like the non-quarter window look but if adding them is necessary, just make it look factory. Nothing fancy.

Thanks guys. Well, whole thing is a blind spot. I can't really see any cars to the backside of me when driving. I have to pass them fast and then cut over. I definitely need a rear window and some quarters would help. So when you guys give me some ideas, I can start on both.

kudos for all the effort and work and originality, I just don't think I like hard tops on our cars period. Being a 4 seater, it seems too long and mis-proportioned for a hard top. Maybe my opinion will change once some 1/4 windows go in.

Either way, still much respect for actually doing it in the best quality yet!

thanks guys.

yeah, I will be at clubloose next week hopefully. I hear they are letting us on the new track so we will see what happens.

I'm just freaking tired of fiberglass now. It's going to take me a while to get it perfect how I want it.

Then make a better design. I'm not a big fan of the quarters to begin with.

This is the stock look.

Hey DukeBoy.... sorry to get off-topic, but I love those wheels on this vert below. What brand/size/offset are they and what size tire are you using ? I don't know if I could go quite as low as that vert is (as I live in the country) but I dig the stance of that car.

Good luck with your top. Looking great so far.

Drifz Prodrift 520S 18x9.5 +35 with 25mm spacers in the front and 35mm in the rear.

The convertible top fit with the cage even though it looks very high. I had to notch part of the front on top to make it fit. It's that high because i'm 6'4". The other vert has a smaller cage because the driver of that cage was 5'nothing".

I love the stock look too, but I wanted to get rid of the stock quarter windows cuz they suck *** and break. I am trying my best to make it look as stock as possible.

True. I'd like to get rid of them as well. Maybe you can keep that look by moving the windows back just a bit and making them fixed. I don't know how to explain it properly but you see how the driver's window is separated from the quarter window and looks almost like an actual coupe? You can do something similar. It's basically what Dex did but just a matter of making the window a bit smaller.

so here's my hackjob. This is how the coupe sports it.

You would probably have to have the top edge of the window follow the line of the convertible top though.

wait, is that real or photoshop?!

hahah It's nice though. it's a shame the 240's are so straight, it leaves no interesting options for the windows... it'd look weird.

(haha studying Car design, i better make it sound sweet :P)

Nice job man, i'll get on this after 5spd and wheels.

This is in response to the question about the rollcage + soft top.

So your saying it does fit the soft top? If so, can this rollbar be purchased online, or is it going to need to be specially made? and if so what should i expect to pay for that kind of work. but i have been searhing my A** off trying to find a rollcage or harness bar that comes premade and will fit the vert.
