If I am not mistaking I am sure that you can install a fifth gen 3.5 in these 4th gens. I there is quite a few threads on this topic here on Nico.

from what i've read the 3000gt motor is a mule, unless you got the tt.do the vq35 with a 6spd transmission swap.

Turbocharged or supercharge your stock motor. I was beating up on turbo dsm and hondas with my stock VQ30de with a 100 shot of nitrous. Then I purchased a turbo 4th gen and I'm working on that now.

Yeah I cant see why you would want or even need to swap any other manufacturers motor in there. Unless its a turbo'd 3000 GT's engine the most your pushing out is 218 HP and 205 foot pounds. And in the Maxima? I bet the stock 3.0L would out run that thing anyway.

Someone told me that the VQ35 has the right mounting locations to and match up to a 4th gen perfectly. And while your putting it in do the headers and full exhaust/cam shafts. Just that alone you should be pushing about 250whp? along with the six speed and that would be a really fast car! I wouldnt want to mess with it!

Whats everyone think? 250whp to high for the 3.5 with full exhaust plus some Nismo cams? If you got the 6th gen engine that already has 265 hp you should be able to pull out 250 right?

3000gt engine doesn't even BEGIN to compare with the VQ30, let alone VQ35.

3000gt

i'm not trying to be mean, but LAAAAME.

btw. WELCOME TO NICO!!

please don't put a Mistu in a Nismo

either Supercharge/Turbo the 3.0 that's in it, or swap it for a VQ35 with a 6sp manual transmission with cam, full exhaust, true CAI, Jim wolf ECU, ported and polished intake manifold.........or you could just NOS you stock engine with a 50 or 100 shot...eh

you say you wanna smoke the honda's, but that's not hard to do with a VG30.
