Hello all, name is Andy and I have a white 2010 Altima coupe 2.5. Picked up my baby on 2/15/14

I'm new to the whole modding scheme and have no idea where to start lol. So far the only thing i've done is painted my diffuser black. I've done lots of searching and I think I want to go more for the appearance rather than performance, as I have a 2.5 :gotme . So far, I'm looking into changing the exhaust for a deep, but not too loud exhaust( seems the average price is 560+), new wheels, and 3m roof tint as well. Any advice will be appreciated!!

If you're going for looks first many would suggest lowering the car either on springs or coilovers.
And welcome!

Thanks! And I was thinking about ordering Eibach lowering springs (seems to be most popular), but i was worried whether it will affect the ride quality.

Eibachs IMO are a comfortable ride.
I used mine for a while and it never really felt harsh to me. I'm selling my eibach springs if you're interested :naughty: I'll post a link to my old build thread

Attempted to plasti dip my diffuser today, keyword attempt lol. Unfortunately I didn't use a razor blade to cut the trimming and the paint peeled.

For the dip you don't have to use a razor , just put a heavy coat and it will peel off evenly. As far as a deep exhaust , Ive since changed my setup because I wanted something louder but I had 2.5 inch piping from the resonator back , with 2 n1 style mufflers and it gave it a deep nice tone. I would suggest coil overs though , I installed eibachs on mine about a month ago and its not low enough still wheel gap especially in the front ,and the struts will wear out faster with the springs

Thanks, I'll Try again tomorrow hopefully i get it right lol....That's good to know i'll definitely take that into consideration when going for the drop. And I got a part-time gig at pep boys, so I was thinking to just swap the stock mufflers with the Flowmasters they have(not sure yet) still learning.

Custom is definitely the cheaper route , I got mine done for 280 thats with mufflers included , That I bought off of amazon. Just take your time with the dip and you'll get it , and yeah eventually you'll have to purchase new struts and that'll cost the same as just getting coil overs from the beginning. Flowmasters are cool too , look up vids on youtube I'm sure you'll find some with flowmasters on. I see your from nj come to a meet in ny one day :D

:shifter: That price is not too bad, and yea I'll definitely end up going custom... and I actually plan on going to meets in the tri-state area just to see what others have done.

Yeah I recommend getting coilovers instead of springs. I'm getting them before May comes. And you don't need to use a razor for cutting the plasti dip. If you take the tape off while the plasti dip is still wet, it'll leave a perfect line and then let it dry from there. I would debadge the car too. Easy and looks good. Welcome to Nico.

Welcome to the forum doggy. I am still new myself really.

I am looking to get coilovers next. Undecided on what brand. These guys on here always have some pretty good input. I want to say BC are the most commonly run ones. I was looking at the TEIN.
