lol.. yeah well my problem is i get impatient.. ive had like 11 ae86s total.. when i build one i have an idea of what i want and part way through i start skipping stuff.. then when its done im at drift events in it and wear and tear eliminates funds to finish the project like i want.. another thing that held me back is having to daily the car too.. i try to leave some room for comfort.. the ae86 i have here now is currently stripped bare.. i pulled everything out and off and seam welded the chassis.. ill be going with a full roll cage even more suspension work than i had on the other cars.. basically every part i can throw at it... and a good NA setup as that feels more correct in the car. i have a long list of mods and parts for it. and after attending a drift practice last saturday in NC and having to borrow other peoples cars i just have to get one of my own on the road asap..lol..
so i picked up this 240 because really all i have to do is weld the diff up and put on some decent springs and its drift ready.. ive proven that before with not even a welded diff or springs. this way all the money id spend on mods if for the corolla i have a civic to daily drive right now so if the 240 breaks i can leave it where its at for a while if i have to. my civic is pretty nice and im not tempted to do anything to a honda so itll stay stock as it is too.. this might just work out and by the end of next year ill have the complete ae86 i been wanting to do for the past few years.. and when its done all i ll have to do is drive it maintain it cause there wont be anything else i wanna add to it. then i wont sell it either..lol..
anyway i have some before pics from when i got it and it already looks 1097984 times better i think with the little bit of body clean up and work i did on it.I ll try to get those posted up by this weekend.
BTW... slappy whats your name? i feel like ive drifted with u at a few events for some reason.. u are east coast right?
