Here's my new 89 S13 hatchback. When I purchased it, it was running really rough. It had a really bad idling issue and a terrible interior. It had two different seats, and one sat so high that only a midget could sit in it without hitting his/her head on the ceiling.

Car currently has HKS high power exhaust, Tein coilovers, drilled rotors, Silvia front, Kouki tail lights, S14 seats (which I stole from my husband ;) along with his pink shift nob), and some off brand rims with new tires.

My husband just installed this kick-a** sound system. :chuckle:

Looking to make it orange, black hood with some sort of design...I will most likely hand-paint it myself. Nothin like your own design!

Nice, its cool to see a couple that builds cars together. My girl likes cars, but she wont spend her money on them.

I prefer not to spend to much on them, but if it means the car will run correctly and also as fast as I want it to...than what's a few hundred dollars? ;)

To be honest, it took a while for me to come around to the 240's. I hated them at first because my husband would talk about them non-stop! But now that I learned to drive 5 speed...it's really fun! And learning to work on my own car is great as well.

Hopefully I can get him to teach me to drift soon...

I really like abstract art...so I was thinkin' black hood with different sized orange circles and/or rings...I want the car to be orange.

Sorta like this:

But maybe not so complex. Want to keep it sorta simple.

That has potential to end up really cool. It reminds me of a painting I have in my living room, but mine is mostly blue...

If you teach yourself how to paint with a gun you can paint a whole car for less than $300.
How many miles are on the ka?

My husband's grandfather owns a paint gun and all the stuff that goes along with it...hoping that I can just go that route.

The KA has 150k. Suggestions? Should I go SR? JZ?

Honestly thats a little high to turbo it. Especially if you want to learn to drift and such. I love my sr, parts are easy to get from your local parts store and is plug and play turbo. But you could do a OEM rebuild on the ka for half the price of an sr. Depends on how much down time you can afford when it comes to your car and you finances. You could alway just buy a sr with rod knock for super cheap and rebuild it while you drive your perfectly fine ka. Then when the ka starts to have troubles throw the sr in. lol JZ in my opinion is just not worth it.

No it's not. My ka-t runs great and I have almost 170,000 on the clock. Just do a compression test and see what the numbers are. There's no replacement for displacement :gapteeth:
