Sup guys recently bought a vert. its 5spd now and all that stuff basically only has coilovers, vlsd, and z32 brakes. nothing motor wise. but anyway just wanted to get some of your thoughts on my project idea. ive always wanted to do a front end conversion and be unique about it. i was gonna go s15 front end but i heard someone down here already did it. bummers any way i see alot of kouki 14 conversions and my friend inspired me to try a zenki one. i was gonna outfit it with an instant gentlemen kit as well. what do you guys think?

from the sounds of it you already have a few good ideas , personally I'm not sure how well the zenki conversion would flow but the instant gentleman kit is the s#*t, keep us updated on your project

Instant Gentleman is the ish...that's why I have it sitting in my house waiting to be put on the vert!

Why not try something a bit more bizarre? How about an S30 front? Hasn't been done yet on a vert as far as I know. Looks hot as hell too!

mm that would be dope but im not a fan of that front end. no disrespect. but ive never seen a zenki front end on a vert either. everyone either goes silvia/kouki/s15 front end. so hopefully itll come out nice and ill have a dope unique vert. has anyone done a zenki conversion on a vert yet? anyone got pics?

me personally i think it would look a little wierd. True it would be different but you got to think, how many other verts have kouki front ends or s15 front ends. I think Koukis look the best on verts but thats me

I could have sworn I've seen this thread recently... Didn't someone else just have a thread about putting zenki s14 FEC on a vert?

My only in put on this thread is that, as much as everyone wants to be different/original/unique, us drive an s-chassis. everything has been done. and the stuff that is done more often is done because it looks better.

Zenki front would not look good on a vert... ever. and if you care about seperating your self from the trends, why IG? That kit has blown up over here, and everybody wants it and its becoming more common to see. any who, i would say do an s15 IG kit, you won't be disappointed.

oh, and an S30 vert could be the most hideous conversion ever...

OP: I personally can't see a zenki front on a vert fitting my style, but in the end all that matters is that you like it.

As far as making the front end fit, it will be a fairly involved job. The hood MAY bolt up with s14 hood hinges. The core support will need to be modified to fit the headlights, then custom brackets are needed to bolt them up. Wiring is fairly simple.

The hardest part, IMO, is the fenders. The only good way to do it is to cut the front half of the zenki fenders, and weld them to the back half of the stock s13 fenders. From there the bumper should bolt up.

Thats the basics of it. There are a few other small things, and getting it aligned is a pain in the ***, but it can be done with motivation and patience.

If you do it, take lots of pics......

You need (square) sharp edges in the lights to compliment the body. That is why s13 silvia and kouki look the best. I'm not a big fan of s15 fronts on verts but if they're done right they look good.

I did a little photoshop to hopefully direct you away from zenki but in the end the choice is yours. Started with this...

And got this...

Quick photoshop but it gives you a good idea of what it would look like. I for one say NO.

w/ the instant gentlemen body kit, iono - i like the pop up version the best:

imagine that on a vert, pure sexiness.

combine that w/ the clear corners low profile headlights, and winnar!
