oh man. I'm training to become an EMT this fall/winter- and today we had a lab where the fireman took us to some parking lot and showed us how they cut up cars and all that. Before they went to work with their tools they let us just do whatever we wanted to the car... man... I threw the air conditioning unit through the back window and we all flipped the thing over.... SO much fun... Then the fire guys came and let us use their spreaders and cutters and all that.... all I can say is WOW. those of you who havnt had a chance to try out those tools NEED TO!!

Trust me my fieros killed every 240 i raced. even with some mods, the fiero= compleatly stock. the biggest reson i now have a 240 is they handle better. go race a GT or v6 SE and say they are a go-kart.

sorry can't help defending this very misunderstood car. (big fiero enthusiest from way back)

most cars will never give you what you have in them. the only time you get the money for your mods is when you sell it to someone who is an enthusiest of that car. (boy that's vauge!)

i agree but they are still pretty quick....i like them. **opens mouth in anticipation of a cookie**

My personal opinion is that they are low quality production car that spend more time exploding and catching on fire than driving...

hence the reason i said a misunderstood car. the 1984 fiero was the only one that had problems with fire. even then they were dash fires more than anything. the 84 was one of the worst designed car IMO after 84 they were not prone to fire..what explosions, i have been dealing with fieros for years and have never once heard of any that have exploded. recently they have been branded as low quality, that is because no one knows how to work on them so when someone gets one they spend a few weeks gettin worked on before they even run right. most people do not like these car and i have accepted this, it just means the cost of them stays down for the people who love them. this is the recent prob with 240's

......thead hijacking.....

fieros are crap, but it's possible to put a V8 in them and they make kits that replace the body panels to make it look like a ferrari. you could race the fiero vs your 240 with honda boys and other people that don't know about cars watching, and they'll think your car is fast because it beat a ferrari.

Guy in my 'hood has an 86 GT with a 455ci V8. He says it was an "easy swap". Looks pretty stock except for the air filter sticking out of the rear deck (right behind the rear window). He even has the stock alloys (rears were turned on a lathe and widened 3" for wider rear tires).

Hmmm i've heard of this swap as well... heres the thing... from what i hear the cars a low quality, unstable, piece that was simply an attempt at a sports car... however i have seen a gt for sale that had me kinda shivering to say the least...

Extrication is rad. I am training to be a Firefighter right now, and we are going to tear up some car on Dec. 14 i think. Jaws of life *drools on keyboard* are going to be hella rad to play with.

"from what i hear the cars a low quality, unstable, piece that was simply an attempt at a sports car"

the american 240sx is also a poor excuse for a sports car. c'mon almost 3000lbs and and only 155hp! yeah it handles and it has the look, but without work it doesn't got the balls to compeat with much other than caviliers, neons, hondas and such. i really think you should drive one with a manual transmission and a v6 before you talk smack about it. one ride in a fiero of good quality and you will change your opinion, you may still not like them but at least you would have some basis for your opinion other than what you read and what someone told you.

-well, i might as well go get my nomex-

Well first of all my 240sx only weighs 2600 pounds.. yes it's slightly underpowered but it can handle the *** of most cars in its price range... maybe i should try driving one someday...

Your thread was boring and stupid so i had to say something, because GOD knows i dont care you got to wield a ******ing saw. And at least make a good rebuttal, that sucked. Will you start a thread when you begin your drivers training class too? "The instructor said i was good because i knew where the gas pedal was" Take the cookie and put it where you take d.ick, (in ur mouth and in ur arse):boring
