How much would you charge to make a pair of led tails?? Just curious. Cause I have absolutely no know how on how to attempt something of that nature

honestly its not worth the risk to do for others. the lenses could easily break when taking apart. Mine were not perfect so i was not so worried if i had to replace them.

if you DIY, it was around $30 for the "clear lenses" and led ribbons (not including solder or wire). all you need tool wise is a dremmel with cutting disc, a soldering iron, and an oven.

Ahh I see. I wouldn't really b care if mine were perfect either hah just as long as their water tight cause when it decides to rain it's straight up like monsoon type rain hah. But as far as an over. My moms would mm not be to happy ton walk in and see a taillight assembly in her new oven lol

You could always find a cheap used old oven on craigslist to use for all your automotive baking needs.

Well looks like the Z is down and out again. ran fine parked it and worked on doing some soldering/heatshrink to help clean up the wiring. started it yesterday and it continues to get louder and no longer idles. dont know if ill honestly mess with it anymore. if i do it will be next year.

Another small update and another major set back.
If your ever in a pinch and your u joints are failing you can use part number 398 master pro brand u-joints in your z for a temperary or emergency fix. The u joint is in stock at most orileys and is designed for a 2000 chevy/geo tracker. If centered properly as I did you will not have any vibration to or at 70mph that's as far as I've tested.

Also after about 50 miles of having the new heads on my engine has started knocking so I will be tearing it apart again.....possibly a tt swap or a bottom end build in the future. Guess we will eventually see.

this worries me, cause mine has been diaged with a bad head on the drivers side, stupid low compression, rough idle, and poor performance, and not to mention a failed carrier bearing, surprisingly this thing is still drivable

Found my engine knock. thankfully the crank appears unharmed and I'll get to finish modifing the rack since it's this far apart.

Ole thrush mufflers... Hey how do they sound on the z..? I used Dynamax with cat delete with added glass pack on my first Z32 in the 1990s and they sounded great.

Good luck on your build

A good reason to keep, label, and inspect your failed parts. These are lower rod bearing comparisons.
