15's? Just how much horsepower is teh RB putting out? If it's puting out any power at all, unless you've got some seroiusly sticky rubber, it'll just end up smoking teh tires off.

Just found set of KYB AGX shocks with Eibach Sportline springs for $260 shipped.

I want coilovers, and eventually I'll get them.. but this is a good start. They should drop the height by a little over an inch I think... Hopefully they will still clear the wheels and tires ok..

Installed my front strut tower brace finally.. didn't fit with the RB20 stock crossover piping. What a pain!Haven't driven it aggresively enough to tell much of a differance. I will pick up one of those triangular braces someday as AZHitman says they are the way to go!

I guess I should clarify my rant about tire size.. For autox or road racing.. smaller wheels are better (15 or 16" would be great).. They are lighter, have less rotating mass, etc... The width isn't such a big deal in that arena. For drag racing.. i'd be best I imagine with these 9" rear wheels.. that extra traction will help.

With the mods I have done it should be running about 240 whp. (still on stock 270cc injectors..) I don't want to push it above that to risk running it lean. That's what I should be running... most likely I'm 20 to 30 hp short of that due to a lack of tuning and timing. I'll be working on that soon.

Tires are Bridgestone Fuzion ZRI 235/40/18's. Funny story.. the guy I bought the wheels from said they are all 18x8" wide... two came with tires and two did not. Since I couldn't compare side to side (since two had tires mounted) and I didn't think to measure.. i wound up buying tires to fit 8" wide wheels.. Well after mounting the tires and trying to install.. I was very confused to find that I couldn't get the wheels to fit in front.. they rubbed on the strut.. Well... after further research, I found that I had in fact purchased 2 8" wide and 2 9" wide wheels. Bonus for me I guess. THe only issue is that the tires on the rears are a little stretched... I'll probably pick up a set of 255's or so for the back..

Anyhow... thanks a bunch for all the compliments! Means a lot to me!

and my dog!

It's funny how much bigger an rb20 looks sitting in there than an sr20 or a ka.... must be those extra 2 bangers

i assume your upper strut tower brace is for a ka-equipped 240sx. you should find one of the braces that the ca guys use, it's bent to fit over the ca18's intake manifold. the ca is just an rb minus 2 cylinders so i assume that the strutbar should fit.

edit: dur... i just re-read and understand... it didn't fit with the stock piping, but now it fits. nevermind my post.

The strut tower brace fits perfectly now that I have my custom intake manifold. The old manifold wrapped over the top of the engine, the stock R32 crossover pipe had a blowoff (recirculation technically) valve that hit the strut brace and made it impossible to install.

But, it's all good now.

I LOVE my manifold. It makes it so easy to work on the engine now. I can get at all 6 spark plugs in like 2 minutes. Used to be a huge pain!
