Front coilovers feature 8kg/mm springs, adjustable shock length for height adjustment while maximizing stroke, inverted shock configuration with 40mm diameter piston, high pressure gas monotube construction, plated steel shock shell and aluminum upper adjustable camber plate. Shock is 15 way adjustable.

Rear coilovers feature 6kg/mm springs, adjustable shock length for height adjustment while maximizing stroke, 49mm diameter piston high pressure gas monotube construction, plated steel shock shell and aluminum upper mount. Shock is 15 way adjustable.

Shocks need servicing? Replace with all new shocks for $550. For the price of rebuilding other shocks (Tein, JIC, etc) you can simply swap in new shocks with no downtime and no shipping hassles.

Coilovers were previously tested on Kuah's Z32 on Willow Springs Raceway. The car performed well, and Kuah likes them over his Tein RA's for streetability.

We will be posting shock dyno testing information when we are done analyzing it. The testing compares our coilovers to the Tein RA's.

Price: $1040 shipped withen 48 states.

We have 1 set of S14 coilovers in stock... please email us if you're interested in getting them for your S13 or S14.

How would these perform against say Tein HE's or JIC FLTA2's? Or for that matter against the D2's?

As you may have guessed by my recent threads and questions, I'm in the market for a complete suspentsion overhaul and would LOVE to use all SPL parts, just need to know how things stack up.

Mechanically they are superior to HE's. Tein HE's have a non-inverted multitube design that causes foaming of the oil which reduces the effect the hydraulic system has, meaning with alot of movement the dampening can actually fade.

Ours have an inverted monotube design that resist's side loads more efficiently and does not have a foaming issue. The inverted monotube design also reduces the possibility of internal binding. This makes them similar in function to JIC FLT-A2's, and with the same spring rates as the HE's (8 kgf/mm / 6 kgf/mm) which is a good all around spring rate.

Our coilovers are 15 way adjustable in dampening which is not as much as the D2's or the Tein's but 15 way adjustable is adequate adjustment.

Our coilovers have correct high and low speed valving packages for the spring rate, unlike the D2's. This ensures longer shock life and better performance.

As far as rebuilding goes, there is no rebuilding. We simply mail you 4 new shocks and you swap over the hardware, spring, and mounts. The price for that is $550 shipped, for comparison Tein USA wants $150 per shock to rebuild them and you then have to take off your suspension and ship it to them (at your cost). With our method you have no down time.

Price wise we are alot cheaper than FLT-A2's, a fair amount cheaper than HE's, and a little more expensive than D2s. What we lack in price against the D2's we make up with function.

alan why do you have to do this to me...you know how hard these decisions are. i had finally decided to keep the D2's...now you throw this on the table. Let me see how much cash i can throw together. Just as i had started picking up turbo parts. Well at the least the Z31 Turbo itself anyway.

It would be nice to have a rolling SPL Display=) Since everything else on my car happens to be that way.

are the s13 ones the same price? And what if you just wanted to replace just one shock, not all four. This seems like a damn good deal. I was looking into saving for cusco comp zero2's but i may consider this. And can they lower the car as much as the FLT-A2's and it will not decrease the shock travel.

Not sure if it's the exact same but they do have alot of height adjustment, and it's 2 way adjustable so yes you can lower it by either the spring perch, or shock mount.

S13 coilovers are the same price.

Without adequate testing of the HE's I can't really support this, but on paper these are better.

Well, I think instead of buying a used set of HE's, I'll save another few pennies and pick these up. You guys are awesome.

Are these pieces made at spl, or by a different company? What's kts?

Anyway, since these are spl coilovers, they can be sold without the markup that a retailer does for say, jic or tein, which is a plus for spl I guess. Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

KTS makes them... we sell and support them.

Yes, we have very little mark-up on our products.

just curious, would you be able to sell s13 fronts and Z32 rears? I'm thinking about a Z32 spindle/brake drum/rear brake swap in the future, and wanting to make sure I can get the right shock mount in the rear.

We should be able to accomodate that, but only if you include it into your order.

Ie: it's not beneficial for either party if we have to order it from Japan later on if you decided after the purchase to change.
