Start with checking to see if you have any ECM codes. Depending on when your 95 were built, you may have OBDII & the codes can be checked at a local parts place. If you have an OBDI you can check the ECM your self. This will let you know what problems your having. This how to locate the ECM for the OBDI: zerothread?id=270520
This is what to do after you have the ECM removed for the OBDI: zerothread/217489
Your car is new to you. Do some routine maintenance: Clean the MAF unit. Change fuel filter, air filter, oil & filter & coolant. Check your transmission fluid, brake fluid, belts & brake pads.
You can go to an Infiniti dealer with your VIN & have the maintenance log printed from when the car was serviced by any dealer. There could be a sticker under the hood with the date & mileage.
This is usually caused by oil getting past the valve seals & it will lay on top of the piston(s) when the car sits. When the car starts, the blue smoke you see is that oil being brunt off. After you change the oil add 8 oz Bardrol No Smoke. That should help.

The engine is not shot. It's your valve seals. Look at my 1st reply to you in this thread. When the engine gets warm, the seals will swell & work properly. That is why you don't see the smoke after the engine is warm. After you park the car for the evening, the seals will cool down & shrink some & allow the oil to seep past them. This happens to older engines all the time. It will cause the engine to use oil. Not much, unless the seals are really bad. If there is no smoke on start up after the engine is warm, you are probably good. If you change your oil every 3000 miles, check it at each 1000 miles after the change. See how much the oil level has dropped.
