the greddy ultimate emanage is almost out, they are taking orders already, and I must say its pretty damn impressive. Its like a hybrid piggyback/standalone. You can check out its features here on mohdparts.com or this link is the features page.

http://www.mohdparts.com/emana....html

a good thing to note is that unlike all other AFC's this now trim and adds fuel directly throught he injectors so it does not effect the maf signal which inturn doesnt cause timing changes which is a problem all AFC's have. (regular emanage can only add fuel so when you resize injectors if fuks up your timing maps)

Quote from greddy: Fuel trimming in the previous system was achieved by adjusting the “Airflow Adjustment Map” which could also affect the ignition timing. The improved “Injection Adjustment Map” is used to trim and add fuel directly by controlling the injector signal, therefore it will not affect the ignition timing at all.

Its also got a ton of other features, pretty cool if you are into tuning on your own and dont want to go the standalone/tuned rom method.

EDIT: look at this feature

By inputting target Air Fuel values in this map, “e-mange Ultimate” will automatically make corrections to the “Injection Map,” if an A/F meter (wideband) is connected to the Auxiliary Output signal. This feature can shorten the tuning time.

Now THAT is pretty cool! I was going to go with the emanage myself, but I never really liked the "airflow adjustment" methods it used. This is a big step in the right direction I think, and for $535, I think its pretty damn competetive with the other options that you can consider in this price range. Awesome! Who's gonna try it first?

I always thought tuning was pretty straightforward with the emanage. If you dont know what you are doing it is damn near impossible. I would say its a good product for guys who like the option to change their tune with new mods to the car, and people who enjoy the tuning process. I was gonna go enthalpy tune on my new SR motor but I might do this for fun factor.

i need a tuning method...florida240 youre going to be running 555s with your IAP kit correct? i plan on running 555s and other parts necessary to get around 250-260rwhp on my SOHC

i havent looked into enthalpy much, i had been looking at JWT vs. e-manage...so this might be a very good thing for me

do you still need the extra tidbits to make it work better like with the original e-manage?

so with a wideband will it pretty much tune the fuel itself or will it get the tune close enough to where you only have to fine-tune it? I'm guessing it won't auto tune the timing, right? Please guinnea pig this for us

yes with a wideband it will tune itself. I already spoke to mohdparts, hes getting them in a week. I might just be a guinea pig.

and it wont auto tune your timing but it wont mess it up either so you can set the retard on a per psi basis prettye easily.

All the wiring should be the same right? So if someone with an old emanage wanted to upgrade, its just plug and chug right? Also, does anyone know if it will work with the E-01?

if you could get the greddy hater to buy one you know its a good product.

And from what I know it does'nt work with the Eo-1 (i have one ) but the support tool is included with the unit so you dont need to pay 120 to tune the damn thing with the suppor tool. its actually not that much more expenive. Im already wired up for the regular emanage so its a matter of swaping some plugs for me. the more I think about it the more sure I am of getting it.

Group buy would be nice, get one of the mods on this, give him a month of advertising or something Hes actually a nice guy Ive been dealing with him for over two years.

I spoke with mohdparts and he said as soon as he gets them (in a week) he is going to scan the manual and post it on his site, this way we can see what shes made of before buying.

well this is quite impressive. I dont know how much closer you could actually get to a standalone besides actually buying one. If this really does all that it says without any major issues or bugs, i think we can now all assume that we will no longer suggest anyone to use an SAFC and to just save up their pennies and get this. Its a bummer to see that I'm just hearing about this now (a week before it comes out).

How does this compare to the AEM EMS though. What are the downsides or the upsides. Cause I was going to buy an AEM EMS but this thing looks like it does almost everything the aem can.

AEM is capable of better tuning I beleive. Also greddy usually has some small bugs. But for the price you can't really go wrong.

AEM is a full standalone and this is still a piggyback. Cost I would say is a good plus for it. This is a good option for anything from a mild setup to a 400 hp street car. I would say get an EMS if you are looking for 600hp or something, also AEM plugs directly in with no wiring.

check out how the auto A/F option works. you input all your desired A/F throughout the cars maps and it does it.

After it's been out for a couple months and you guys work out all the bugs for me, I'm totally buying one. Hopefully it'll work with the LM1...

The datalogger should also be able to track knock readings at RPM points so you can adjust your duty cycle or timing for that point. This could really be the next best thing to hit the market for us in years.

Not as good as the AEM EMS by a a pretty good bit, but a damn good tuning option.

Does it say anywhere what size injectors it'll be able to trim for? That'll be the make or brake for me. I've already got the SAFCII and it works very for me. So my next upgrade will be huge injectors and internals. I'd prefer not to go with the EMS, to pricey for my USAF paycheck.

I'm still worried about the crappy Greddy customer service though. Almost no tech help from a warm body. Which leaves us to our own abilities to troubleshoot. I can use a multimeter and whatnot, but wiring is not my strong suit.
