just want to say..after driving and learning my car for the last year..damn im glad to be putting a suitable power plant in it. started out in my friends car, he had an unfortunate accident with involving a tahoe, and just enough damage to total it. it put down 245 on the dynojet, not bad for the normal upgrades

so i paid him, and now i got this motor hanging out on the pallet, i need to put it on the stand pronto, but what bolts am i gonna trust with holding it up. my dad half jokingly said throw it on there with the transmission bolts, but last time i checked im not liking the idea of my motor taking a 2 foot head dive into the concrete. should i use them or run to lowes and get some longer grade 8 bolts to bolt it to my stand?

speaking of which, anyone have the specific tread pitch and size of those bolts

just bring the old bolts with you when you go to get new ones, I would imagine the transmission bolts should hold it up, as longs as you put at least 4 in. The SR isnt that heavy anyway, all aluminum FTW.

stock bolts worked fine for me. no problems with them not being strong enough to keep the engine attached to the stand.

trans bolt works fine. Trust me. I had my engine on a stand for almost two months one time.. Bolts wont break.

just make sure all four of them are being used.
