The tar crap was all mussy and smelly...lol. Wow what type of carpet did you get from ACC I thought they were good carpets isn't their different types you can get?

No sir. Imagine the carpet you just removed, no reduce the overall quality by about half. The ACC replacement carpet was also thicker, but damned if it didn't shed so much. Also the padding that comes attached to it goes all the across the transmission tunnel making it a royal pain in the a** to get a decent line on the holes you have to cut.

As for the smelliness of the car, my hatch was parked under a tree with both windows down half way for YEARS. Everything was rotted. But some Simple Green, elbow grease and some no name orange oil soap my mom gave me to use eliminated all odors.

So yeah, like I said, try and hunt down an 89-90 with good factory carpeting and snag it.

Are they available from Nissan still? The carpet I removed was too far gone. But that really sucks that no companys make a good replacement. Oh well if anyone has a black carpet for a 91 let me know...lol.

Why don't you just throw your original carpet in a laundromat washer? It will work and be way cheaper than another carpet... Take it from a guy who thought his carpet was too far gone also.

Also, your seats will look funny and the interior of your car will be VERY HOT with a black carpet. You do live in Florida...

If theres a junk yard near you then get one from there, if not look in the classifieds on here [under 'Marketplace' at the top ^] get the thicker carpet from the 89-90 240's.

Is that your ride? I see the panels have been modified for a speaker behind that. I was thinking about that. Did you do that mod? Also is that a stock carpet?

Yeah thats my interior. i drilled out a hole for the tweeter on the piller panel, and i drilled out an astrix * in the quarter for a speaker setup. it works pretty well, but you have to have a good output speaker to hear it through those holes.

Ill eventually cut out that Astrix and replace the hole with a mesh then cover the quarter insert part with cloth.

Its a great speaker location with that large hole behind the panel. Looks good!

nice find, as far as the ac, if you really dont want it just have it drained of freon and remove it, if you look at the belt setup you dont need a delete kit cuz the ac is its own belt.... and if you are to ever use the car for trips id leave the cruse control in it just to make better highway mpg and easier on ur foot for long trips
