Hi guys I recently bought a Nissan Navara D21 1987 model 5 speed,2.4 litre I think, I was wondering what seats would fit in my Ute at the moment there is ford seats I'm not sure what they are from, I've got it as my work car, As I work on a farm now I have it I want to do it up haha, what things could I do to it? I have no knowledge I'm use to driving Holden commodores.Any information you feel I should know would be awsome, Thanks :)
Also how can I post a pic of my ute

Welcome to NICO! What part of Oz do you live in? We have a few members from your hemisphere.

As for how to post images, we have a great tutorial stickied in the gen chat forum. If you don't like photobucket, you can simply use whatever photo hosting site you like. The way we handle images here is the same no matter where you host the image.

Just a question here... why do they call it a "ute" anyway?

'Colloquial English is a term given to spoken English used in common speech. It is not the same as Standard English and will differ from region to region'.

Sport Utility Vehicle = SUV
Ute = Utility
Sport Ute

Yeah it's short for utility, I've never really thought about it to much haha.

The funny thing is that any vehicle having a bed or "tray" with a carrying capacity of <a one ton is automatically labeled as a "ute". All American 150/1500 trucks and larger are mostly referred to as trucks, all the while the Toyota Workmate Series 70 Land Cruisers which has a tray capacity just shy of 1300kg (1.3 ton) is still called a "ute" Now this isn't a rule all over but this is what I have ran into most.

...and, "trucks" as we think of them are exceedingly rare in AU. Good luck seeing an F-350 Super Duty (privately-owned) on the roads.

(Learned that from Ozzie, our resident upside-down roo-shooer from Woomera). :)

Welcome aboard Renee!

There is a surprising number (I have seen a few) of privately owned (I assume due to a lack of markings and the "casual" dress of the driver) larger F series and HD Chevys here in Perth. It is however the Resources industry center of Australia and there is a lot of new money here. This is the reason that there are quite a few exotics and supercars here as well. But yeah as a general rule the biggest thing you see on the roads here are 70/90/110 series Land Cruisers.

I thought Australia was trying to get rid of the idea of modifying vehicles? At least when I watch my facebook pages that have a heavy membership of Australians, all they b**** about is getting defected. I'd say at least twice a week on Silvia Republic, there are two people posting their cars were defected due to being modified (too low, too loud, shift knobs)

That thing is pretty sweet.
I would think factory seats would bolt right back in, unless whoever put the ford seats in modified the structure to get them to fit.
