How did you replace the XM antenna? Mine has crappy XM reception as well and I would like to do what you did.armybrat wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 1:58 pmI'm behind Andy somewhat, at 100,870 miles. I bought my '12 M56x in Oct 2015; just came off of a 3 year lease. It had 52k miles. Only major issue I had was a P0024 code at around 60k miles. The oil jet/timing chain recall had just kicked in, so I had that job taken care of for free. Other than that, the car has been awesome. Main thing is these engines use oil because of PCV blow by, so definitely check the dipstick in between oil changes, and stay away from high mileage oils or any oils with high ZDDP levels (not good for cats). I installed dual catch cans to trap the excess. Also, I had crappy XM radio reception so I replaced my antenna with a newer upgraded 2018 antenna and it made a world of difference. No dead spots like I had before. Also installed a custom manifold back exhaust and Uprev tune.
I posted a DIY here: antenna-install-diy-t622145.htmldrtbar wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 2:34 pmHow did you replace the XM antenna?
