OK here is my review,

When I applied the tune I noticed higher power in low rpm however I really wasn't sure and I didn't notice much difference after 50 MPH while flooring it.

Anyway here is my 1/4 and 0-60 MPH results. The results is really amazed me!

Here is the first result The car was completely stock no mods at all.

Here is the result after applying GT tune [Premium Tune, 6800 RPM (Doesn't really work on CVT but I change it anyway stock was 6350 RPM), 151 MH top speed (stock was 146 MPH), +4 Advanced timing(stock was 0)] Other than that the car is completely stock.

So what you think guys : )?

thats awesome unknow, is it safe to advanced the timing by that much though?

you really got the 0-60 a lot lower than i would have suspected.

did the car feel fine after putting the timing at +4?

So, in order for a company to claim that their product works on Nissan Altima 2007, 2008, and 2009 model years, they would need to make sure it works by testing it on 11 different Altimas

For all I know, it might be Bully Dog policy to have the customer update the tuner by contacting them.

What's your software version? 1.3 or 1.4? I've run both versions for long periods of time and it feels like 1.3 fuel map was tuned for 0-30 (torque) and 1.4 fuel map was tuned for 40-100 (hp).

1.3: jumps as soon as you apply the slightest throttle, less responsive than I would like after 40mph when you floor it though1.4: not quite as much kick as 1.3 from a dead stop, you have to push the pedal down a tiny more to get the same response, but this tune owns on the highway...

overall much more satisfied with 1.4. didn't try 1.4a. Hope it's not all in my head

I will try to passively answer your questions. No agression here.

“yeah so what your saying is only 4 ecru’s”

Yes, I’m not just pulling numbers out of thin air, and I'm not the only one saying it, Nissan North America says it, and they back up their claim by listing the parts and part numbers in the official NNA dealer parts book.

Don’t take my word for it, look it up for your self..

http://www.courtesyparts.com/

“since you like researching so much why has there been more then 4 ecu codes just asking ..” Your question is ambiguous, are you asking why the owners of Altimas are reading / receiving 4 or more error codes while installing the Bully Dog tuner?

If that is what you are asking, the answer is obvious to me.

I think one of two events occurred One, Bully Dog did not test all 11 combinations of ECM’s before releasing the product for sale. Or two, they did test but could not get their product to work properly with all 11 combinations In my opinion, they are using customers as their unpaid Research and Development department. Bully Dog has to know by now that their customers, who spent between $300.00 to $400.00 to purchase the tuner, are having problems getting the product to work as advertised.

I have a suggestion, why don’t you either call Bully Dog, 866-285-5936, 8am-5pm, MST, Monday thru Friday, or log on to their website,

http://www.bullydog.com/

and take advantage of their chat with a tech online feature. Ask the manufacture why “has there been more then 4 ecu codes just asking ..”

I would like to see their answer to that question. Let us know if they provide an answer to your question.

You are correct, many Altima owners have installed the tuner with very good results. Not everyone has had problems installing the tuner, and there are quite a few happy customers.

You are also correct, I don’t mind researching and finding out the correct answer. I would much rather be correct with the answer I give, than to just make a wild guess and pick a number between 28 and 32.

I am still curious. Where did you come up with your number “30” ?

Yeah like I had explained in a previous post about adjusting timing, +2 is is the thumb rule for safe, I have to think your gonna start knocking(pinging) at +4, but hey I haven't done it so its a guess.

well I should have my bully dog soon and I will definitely let you guys know how things go. If it can monitor our 0-60 and 1/4 mile times then I will simply do as someone previously did and do a run on the stock mode and then a run on the premium mode (I use 93 oct. from shell).

Hopefully there will be a noticeable difference.

I will keep everyone updated!

hi, After some testing I found that advancing the timing by 4 isn't really any better it may slightly better in 0-60 MPH but after that it will be worse than even stock! +2 is the way to go I will post my 0-200 KM (125 MPH) tests later.

Btw I'm running 95 oct and before anyone saying why the hell are using 95 oct on 2.5, Cuz we have only two gas rating 91 and 95. and the 95 is cheap enough probably cheaper on what you paying for 87 oct :P

The octane in Bahrain is probably no the same as the R+M/2 octane rating that we use in the US. I believe the R+M/2 is called the AKI (Anti-Knock Index) which is just an average of the RON and MON ratings for the fuel. One of the two is usually higher than the other, and I believe quite a few other countries use the higher rating instead of the average.

It could be but I still believe that Arabic or Persian Gulf countries have higher rating oct than other countries, Cuz those countries have a lot of oil they exports oil to other countries, So it make sense if we have cheap and high oct gas : >

I think in UAE or qatar they have up to 98 oct. but it could as you said may have different rating.

you need to download the file on the site and put it on the sdcard.thats how I did it.plug the tuner in the pc and it should act as a sdmicro card reader.download this filehttp://www.bullydog.com/extern...n.zipopen it and extract the PMTidf.bin file to the sdmicro card. now your tuner should be recognized by the update agent

those of you with a manual 3.5, Is this thing really worth the 300+ price tag if you are into performance? Be very honest, if it aint, i'm holding out for a REAL ECU tune

Yup did that, but now I am having the same problem as you, error 440 new part number.Guess us 3.5SE + 6MT combo are outta luck, if they do not hurry and fix this soon I am going to return mine. I did not pay $300 for a monitor.

Link,

I've about had it with your negative posts. Stop it, or you will be called a Troll.

You know that since you have not modified your car, you are not able to comment on this thread. You have been warned, remember? You should do as I do, and only have words of praise for this inexpensive, works everytime, must have, high performance, go fast accessory.

Don't forget, it is well worth the wait, it is well worth the wait, it is well worth the wait.

However long that might be.....
