Like it says. Anyone seen these?I was skimming across eBay to see if there was anything new. And I came across these.

Look familiar to my K-1 rods I got from AMS, but I'm no connecting rod expert.

Discuss.

They look pretty good, and they use arp hardware. Lol but that price is rediculous I was expecting to see something around 350$ but damn 261.43 shipped. Im going to find some money to try these out lol.

Holy smokes! For chromoly rods, that's a price that sounds too good to be true.

If it works out for you, congrats! Let us know how it turns out.

Why?

These are new, from an obscure ebay company. Im tempted to try them on my first, cheap rebuild that i plan on doing though. I mean whats to discuss lol, no ones used them yet, they look shiny and strong but who knows till we test em out.

Theres always the ebay trash to think about, but who knows, lets try em out and then have a discussion.

these looks to be rebranded Eagle's rods. look at Eagle rods; they are just about $300 ish.... go figure. it's definately better than stock, from what i know; definately worht a try on a budget build.

shall we say these rods + arias pistons = 500whp!?? very possible.sh1t i might be the Guinea pig; as i'm in the middle of gathering parts for my a bottom-end build.

Well someone won them with a 'Best Offer' of 215$, so who's to say you can't get them for a bit cheaper...?

Look good to me. If I pick up this other S14, I may grab a set myself.

well, i got some more info on the rods. these rods are made by CAT (4340 3D Plus racing series), and are forged; weight 625 grams, about 25 grams less than crower's. their small block versions are rated at 800hp. to sum it up; you guys better jump on this for a budget build.

Hmmm, these sound pretty interesting, I haven't heard of them before. I am cheap and all, but I don't like to be a guinea pig, lol.

Since it was bumped, has anyone actually installed these yet? Looking like a good option for me as well.

my buddie picked up a set of these rods not to long ago. They look good. Fit and finish is nice. We havent finished the motor just yet but should have it done and running by the end of febuary. Ebay rods with arias pistons. All big bore and pistons pin bore measured out same as stock and with acl bearings we had a .020 oil clearance. So far no problems but, if i can find this thread in a couple months i will let you guys know. He got them for 220$ shipped.

Sounds like a plan man!

I'll definitely go in on a set. I need a set for when I tear down the S14.

So that's two of us so far.. Not that this is a 'group buy' or anything. But let me know how you wanna do this, Florida. I'm definitely down for a set. And I'm sure WD would jump on this too just to have them around..

No cash on hand ATM fella's, but They are cheap enough that I'm not really missing anything by waiting. Hopefully by Summer I'll have the old S14 up and boosted again. I'm about to tare her down and get ready for body work/paint, audio upgrade and just fiddle with things until the motor itself goes in.

I can feel that I'm THIS close to finding some sort of income. I'm going to get my turbo kit together first, then get the money for a rebuild after I've boosted a couple pounds and had some fun.

These dont come with 3/8" ARP 2000 rod bolts but weaker ARP 8740 bolts.
