It's an extra 60$, but to each his own.

And yes, 'weaker' of the ARP bolts. Yet, 10x better than stocker rod bolts..

I just sent the guy a message on Friday asking about when he's expecting to have more KA rods. He told me 4-6 weeks which is better than 4-8.

I bugged them again today. I told them to come offer a group buy on Nico because they'll give a quantity discount according to their other rods listings on ebay. Anyway, here's the reply:
It is temporary out of stock, we hope will restock in 2 weeks.
I'm going to start bugging them every day in about 10 days...

Sounds like a plan. If we can get them shipped for like 200$, I'm game. But you'll have to head this up with one of the moderators for an official group buy with legal stuff's or something..

WD can probably help out with that part of it.

Yeah man! It's either build a budget KA-T, or go with the SR that's laying around at my buddy's house..... ughI really don't have money for either motor build-up. But buying a part that is engine specific would really make my mind up.. hah

...sorry to bump it...again

Any news on a GB? These should be available this week sometime or early next week. I'm getting these one way or another.

I sent them an email today asking when they were expecting delivery, how many they were going to have, and to let them know that we might have a group buy... this was the reply:

I suggest if you guys want to do a GB, that you organize it via IM or email. I don't see us supporting these guys. They are unreliable with communication and it goes against policy to allow a group buy from a non sponsor.

They aren't a US based seller either. Buyer beware IMO.

This doesn't get my seal of approval. If they are that cheap, I'd buy them without the GB hassle. I'm admittedly an untrusting person when it comes to this type of thing.

Changed your mind or got a "no" from the higher ups?

I'm not going to take responsibility for organizing a group buy and have had my fair share of hassles with non-Nico-endorsed group buys.

Oh well.

I'll report back after I get a set - unless I can find some used Eagles...

The GB policy has recently been changed and the rules are strict. But it's to keep our members safe. This particular bizz doesn't give me a warm fuzzy, so I hesitate to tell others they are good to go when I myself question them.

If you aren't versed in the English language and aren't taking the time to answer questions etc to the best of your ability...well that alone speaks volumes IMO.

I can get eagles at a good price. Being he doesn't know when they will arrive means he doesn't know if they are even right for us. Eagles are my buy now. Don't feel like going through another engine.

Mods- Feel free to delete if this violates rules or what not..

We already sell full rebuild kits with Eagle Rods without any problems but these are a little cheaper and I wouldn't mind heading up a GB if ya'll are interested as I can always keep a few on the shelf if we don't get the 5 or 10 people that this guy is wanting. Anyways if this interest some of you feel free to email or send us a message on AIMMMm.. [email protected] or undergroundmspts

I'm just bouncing the idea around so let me know if this is of interest.

Get the K1 rods from AMS. They are a sub brand of Carrillo (forged overseas and finished in the USA, according to the Carrillo guy at SEMA) and they are cheap at $395/set. I have used them in my KADET without fail for several years.

Underground- Are you doing a GB on the Eagle Rods or the entire rebuild kit? If it's for the entire kit I'm in for sure.

Well, I can't complain. I have the same rods in my KA, and I've beat the crap out of my car. (26psi on a GT2860RS)

But I'd still like to give these rods a try if we can get them at 200 bux a set.
