like it was said before, quit your whining cars will never be the same as the 90's were, cars are different, yes i first complained when the rb was cancelled, but its the past, same with all the gadgets and gizmos that will come with the new gtr, people didnt complain when the r34 came with the data log screen...so quit whining, most of you wont ever own one, even if you wanted to, im not going to be able to own one, but if i could i would...and that wheel sensor crap? are you serious, you can put aftermarket wheels on the gtr, and every other car thats being built...sept 21, 2007 was the starting line for TPMS which is the valve stem or band-type sensor that keeps track of your air pressure, after that date all cars are required to have this system, it is interchangable with aftermarket wheels, it takes 1min to screw the sensor off the old wheel onto the new wheel, helps people become lazier by no checking air pressure, just a simple way for companies to make money if one breaks($80 a piece)

future cars will be worse, soon enough no fuel motors, just electric, it will suck but nothing we can do, just enjoy this GTR before it becomes all electric, Nissan knows what they are doing, there are reasons companies make certain decisions, besides youll see one in a magazine and nut all over

yes the older GTR's were better IMO, R32 the best

but its the past

I remember Ferrari going through this a while back with the Enzo, they tried to require owners to use a specific motor oil or they would void the warranty. My guess is that at least stateside this all gets tossed out. Infiniti can keep the inspection if they want but its gonna be free. Or I suggest the die hards just start making a stink about WHY the car would NEED an inspection from being used in the manner that it was supposedly DESIGNED.

I spend 70k on a sports car and the dealer has to look at it when I take it to a track?? Sounds like its shoddily built.

Actually anyone think of the warranty. Any new cars bought as far as I ever known, if the dealership finds out that you used it ina racing event then warranty is voided on the spot. So if you pay 1k and able to keep the warranty I would do it. I'd just go back to back weeks Give it a little time and there will be ocmputers out. Just like the iphone got broken so will the ecu.

If I were a GTR owner intent on tracking the car, I'd just go ahead and let them void the warranty....to hell with it.

No car company is ever going to NOT try to weasel out of replacing stuff under warranty that was broken on a track anyway, so why fight it? If you're going to track your car, accept that you're going to have to pay for everything out-of-pocket. If you crash, no insurance. Don't drive anything you can't afford to just walk away from.

Wait, Iphone or GTR?

Sounds like Nissan has taken Apple's tack on this one, a robust view of intellectual property and licensing.

You guys seriously think that no one is going to be able to modify a GT-R? You guys are nuts!!! The car hasnt even been on sale in the US, so theres one place in the world that cant modify a GT-R?

It will only be a matter of time before someone removes all the stuff that they dont want.. It may take a computer engineer, not a "tuner".

Who knows. With enough of an outcry, maybe Nissan will release a 'patch'?

111mph must be your speed governor huh?

My 4spd automatic C5 would do 110 in 2nd gear...

Automatic or not, he owns a Corvette.

You own two 240SX's.

He bought the boss's car.

You bought the secretary's car.

Uhhh, hot lady boss > secretary who would buy a 240SX. You know the type; heavily made up, chews gum, probably overweight and a smoker.

there'll be work arounds. if you can make it, you can break it.
