Yeah baby. You better bet I'll be ordering one. I just hope they come down in price. Currently priced at ¥98000, not including the $150 steering wheel.

oh neato!

for some reason I see me putting skis on it and taking it down a snowy hill though.

I think it's about time we get more games that make use of a Clutch however and have controllers like that with clutches as well as paddles for the Ferraris and other high end cars. Man to be ambitious...

maybe they can replace the sparco with an Axe, less likely to steal the seat from it and use it in a car:D

No definitive date has been set. It's estimate is May 04, last I heard.

I wanted Steel battalion for Christmas last year.. :( They were sold out everywhere...

I wish I could read japanese though so I know what the hell they're saying in that article. What's the deal with that seat though? It's not like you'll really need to be belted in for fear of racers being thrown around... get real..

thats awesome but i only see 2 pedals. whats this talk of a clutch? man, that idea of turning a S13 into a video game ****pit would be awesome. just cut off the whole front end of the car and mount it right in the wall. then get a huge widescreen to fill the whole windsheild. hook the controls up so teh clutch, brake, accelerator, shifter, and steering wheel in the car work with the game and that would be so cool. and if i were super-duper rich id hook hydrolics to the car to chake it whenever the vibration in the controller would go off. how awesome. the bad part is theyll have this same thing in about 20 years and be selling it for a few hundred bucks. and we'll all be to old to play video games! :(

I still believe I see only two pedals and no shifter... even if it's not functional, a clutch pedal would be awesome. A functional shifter is a MUST though if I were to consider it...

the ferrari 550 game has one. you have to press it in when you start or stop and to shift or else it will kill the car or not let you shift. the problem is, most games dont require a clutch. they have an automatic engage/disengagement when you shift. i think it would be to difficult to have all that so that it does put the car in neutral and then you shift etc.

i drive auto in GT3 anyways, I read they couldnt manualy shift any faster or more effectively than the auto shifter in the game.

well, i wouldnt really care if it was a slower shifting style or not, i just want it to make the gaming experiance more realistic and fun. plus it would be fun to do drop clutches and burn-outs with this style. when i say real clutch and shifter, im talking about a clutch pedal and a shifter that has individual gates for each gear. non of that press forward and backwards crap

The shifter is on the right hand side of the steering wheel. It's a sequential shifter (just up for downshift and down for upshift).

The reason there is no clutch is because it is designed for PS2, specifically GT4. With the console games, you can not have a clutch. Think about how that would have to work for someone with the regular controller. That's also why they can't make a gearbox except for a sequential design.

You can look at the steering wheel assembly here: http://www.logitech.com/index....eid=1

You have to buy this (includes pedals) and then it mounts to the frame I linked to in the first post.

yea, but a lot of games have the ability to customize the buttons on the controllers along with the ability to switch between manual and automatic so i assume it would be fairly easy to program a third style of shifting into the game. i read the street racing syndicate was gonna have a clutch button on the controller but it never came out and they keep extending the release date (origonally planned to come out last march)

WTF? The manager Funcoland said that GT4 has been pushed to June and it might move to July. That stuff is hot and all, but toooooo expensive.
