$35 for a plug and play footwell lighting kit that's controlled by the interior lights! although plenty of us can find out how to do this ourselves it's nice to have a kit available

is there any way to have the lights on all the time without using a switch? i basically want them on whenever the automatic headlights turn on.

Yes, you simply plug the power wire into the fuse for the headlights... I'm not sure if that fuse is in the interior fuse box, or in the fuse box located in the engine bay

that's something i wouldn't be looking forward to, cutting and drilling beside a huge mess of wires isn't something i'd be really comfortable with

if you know where to drill, its not that bad... some folks just aren't that comnfortable with power drills and wires though...

I just checked, the headlight fuses are indeed inside the engine bay, you will need to go through the firewall...

or you may be abole to tap the wire going to the speedometer cluster ... there should be a wire there that is triggered when the auto-on headlights turn on... its what triggers the lcuster to dim... but only if you have auto-dimming headlights

i don't think it's not being able to handle a power drill being the problem, it's handling a power drill beside the massive wad of wires

Either way, I love the fact that racingline came out with this... everything in one kit... with instructions for the non mod-oriented folks... and instructions on how to tap into the dimming wire for the interior!!!! Giving it a true OEM feel, just like many other cars have

hey guys just answer a few quick question on these.

-Racingline does not make these kit's, they are built by a another company with insight and product from VLEDS.

-they are full plug and play and wire into a select circuit in the BCM module so that they operate when keyless entry is triggered.

- Detailed installation instructions are provided, and no these do not plug into the lighter or need to go through the fire wall.

-the switch kit allows for full time ON operation and comes with a larger than standard 3 way non illuminated switch that will fit the OEM switch panel to the left of the steering wheel. It is not a $2 radio shack switch.

-Lines are capped and ready for you to add the switch of your choice should you not like the switch option associated with the kit.

I think that's about it for now. feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. I'm working on getting some pics of the other colors installed up on the website as well.

Good, easy way to do it without drilling is through the hood release latch.

Actually, you don't even need to go through the firewall to install this.

if you dont go through the firewall then what is a good way to wire this bad boy up? but if you do go through your firewall, could you be more specific besides saying go through the hood latch cuz im kind of a rookie at this installation stuff lol
