What I did and the instructions say to do is to tap into the wires in the A pillar from what I remember

+1

When I read this post, my Firewall PTSD kicked in and I just remembered the long process of my firewall experience. then i snapped out of it and actually laughed.

I'm not exactly sure how you go through the hood release, but i know the area he is talking about. Go out to your car and find the hood release lever, put your head down near your clutch and follow that wire till it gets to the firewall. I remember its about 4 inches off of the factory firewall grommet. In all honesty that's the best anyone can say without supplying pictures, go check it out yourself.

you don't need to go through the firewall for this, they just tap into the A-pillar. when you buy the kit it comes with instructions on how to do it and which wires to tap.

I've got the switch, and I love being able to turn on the light anytime I want!

pics pics pics.

I know that they have like 2 pics on the site, but I never trust company pictures of a product. I think McDonald's taught me that.

Was it everything you wanted and then some? Also how does the passenger side light look? I feel like putting a strip of lights there you would be able to see the bulbs/lights which would be very annoying. I would want it completely hidden.

here's mine. no switch, i like it that way, they only come on with the courtesy lights

there are spots in the footwells to stick the led strips so that you can't see the bulbs.

Exactly what blackmobile said... I just like the switch because even if you don't care to turn it on when u want, it looks pretty sick when they're on and nothing else...

And the Switch for good measures.

p.s. sorry for the dirty mats and the blurry photos, I was in a rush to get to school, but u get the idea to see what it looks like, if you put the lights where ur supposed to, you can't see them at all...

Installation was a breeze as I talked to the guy who makes them the whole way through, he was super helpful! Any question I had, he was there to help me out! It probably took around 45 minutes for me. But after finding out that you have no place for the switch, I'd probably stay away from it, as ur gonna have a hard time finding where to put it if that spot is already taken...

Well I'm still on the fence about the switch anyways so I guess I don't mind not being able to have the option of turning them on/off lol

floor panel? not sure which lights those are. my footwell lights are blue, courtesey door lights are blue, map and rear dome lights are both white. that's why my seats look white.
