Hell, no performance driving event makes you a better driver on the street. If you're staying within the posted speeds, you're never going fast enough to take advantage of your supposed skills. Also, you've got little idea of the laws of a roadway and how to interact with others cars.
Sorry, kids, but your chubby for drifting doesn't mean you're as skilled as say, a CDL holder.
Ok, I see that people are complete idiots.
#1. How the hell can anyone say that drving skills on the track dont convert to the street...Now I'm not saying treat the street like a race track, I'm saying if a bad accident happens in front of you or, u have to avoid something substantial in the street and the car gets loose. Someone that has never drifted may slam the wall, guardrail, etc... Someone that has been to the track will feel more comfortable behind the wheel, etc...If anyone on here has ever taken a racing class, U would know that. I have taken skip barber f1 and mazdaspeed classes to better my driving, and the instructor specifically stated that alot of the skills they teach you there will transfer to safe street driving, and no I'm not rich it cost me alot.

Either that, or it really is completely true that only new drivers are into drifting, since the rest of us have wizened up and taken it out of the streets.
All I was trying to say is that I am more experienced than a brand new driver going out there and drifting for his first time. I made that point....

And honestly if you learn to drift, then you should be a better driver on the street as long as your not drifting on the streets, of course.

More experienced then a new driver...and seeing that I started driving in 1999 and it is now 2008, then I have had 9 years. I think I'm pretty well experienced now...but, to each his own.
And yes, 4-5 year experience is pretty well experienced having been driving on the track since I was 16.
I dont need to explain myself anymore... People are getting themselves all worked up over this...
I'm sure everyone will have to disagree with me...These are my opinions...Those are yours...I suppose well have to agree to disagree.
I originally started this to vent, yesterday I saw a 20 something with one of the elderly driver markers and decided to vent on here. Sorry I did now, because it seems that no matter what u type there is always going to be opposing opinions. Thats life. And my life is a lil better cause this is where I come to vent...not to start arguements?? That I have to worry about all night with socks on my head???

NO IT DOESN'T!
I need you to come back and tell us WTF you are talking about! Now I have to post more bla to find out what the hell you smoked before posting. Now I am wearing my socks on my head! Help!
And the best stuff in the world wouldnt have made me stay up to figure out what I meant...get a life my dude.
Not to mention that this thread has now been Jacked by jackasses. I proved my original point that these markers have no purpose in the US. About the only excuse for having one is that u just got your license.
And your right numbnuts, if they brought them here then u would see alot of them in the trash.
