And That's The End Of Round 1...
Meh, I would have killed some chicks dog had it not been for what auto crossing I have done.charlieo wrote:The idea that drifting makes you a better driver on the street is laughable.
Hell, no performance driving event makes you a better driver on the street. If you're staying within the posted speeds, you're never going fast enough to take advantage of your supposed skills. Also, you've got little idea of the laws of a roadway and how to interact with others cars.
Sorry, kids, but your chubby for drifting doesn't mean you're as skilled as say, a CDL holder.
Oh, so its like drifting.Dasoupdude wrote: because they saw somebody in japan do it, unfortunately that makes it cool for 98% of the population of males under the age of 21.

Yea your post reflects his feelings. But to anyone that doesnt think that track driving whether it be drifting, circuit. autox, time attack, etc... doesnt give you valuable skills on the real roads is lost. Take some driving classes from skip barber and argue with the instructor about that. I have real experience on the milleville track in their f-1 series mazdas. And at VIR two years ago I took the mazdaspeed two day course for beginners. I learned a hell of a lot and I recommend it to anyone that would like to be a better driver...on the street or otherwise.rcabrita wrote:HA!!
I allready miss Dattebayo
But seriously, the drifting skill-set does not apply to real world driving.I wouldn't be wrong to say about 95% of drifting has NOTHING to do with driving like a normal person.
About 70% of the Circut racing skill-set can't be translated either. Some of the world's cleanest drivers (cleanest = best record) couldn't drive competativley if their lives depended on it.
Oh and JDM stickers FTMFL!
