will u explain 2 me why your turbo manifold is so huge and long and your turbo is infront of your radiator? is it because it wouldn't fit other wise?what size is that turbo

No, It is the same turbo as last year. I wanted a long tube manifold for a better merge and hp gains. here's a pic of last years setup...also it is a 62-1 turbonetics turbo.

No. The AEM EMS is a standalone and does not require the use of your oem ecu. You replace your ecu with the unit from AEM.

I've wanted to do that for years. Do you have better pics of those subframe connectors?

No the EMS is a standalone unit. It plugs directly into the factory plug.

never seen a manifold like that... you are probably the only one with something like that!

looks cool.

edit: maybe because that would never work on an sr with an sr radiator! lol. its a weird setup. the intake is right by the fans though which is good. i've never seen a turbo sit that close to the front of the car.

I didn't want to post anything about performance till we got some quality time with the AEM EMS. These are the numbers from a couple of hours on the dyno.

I don't think that's too bad for stock cams and complete bottom end????

Yeah. I think switching over to the HKS 272 step 2 cams should push me well over that mark.

I picked up the AEM for around 1500.00 plus shipping. Yes, it is very user friendly. We got a street tune on it a couple of weeks ago and were putting down around 360-375 on the street tune. only took an hour and a half to get this tune and we weren't really in a rush to get on and off the dyno. Oh yeah, that was running 11.8 to 1 air fuel. We'll try it at 12.5 to 1 when I get the cams.

very nice, i like it! for stock cams thats amazing. up the boost and go for 500whp.

i have a 11:1 tune and a 12.2:1 tune (chips), and car is much more responsive on street with 12.2:1 tune.

I thought about it, but without extensive tuning(which I don't really have time for right now) I don't think it will do it on the stock cams. Instead of putting all that time, effort and money into trying for 500 I think I'll just install the 2nd generation HKS 272 step 2's that I have had on order for 6 months and just received today! 600whp here we come
