Couple of questions on your setup if you don't mind...

1.) I ordered my splitfire...I was told the replacement coilpacks they provide don't allow for the stock coilpack cover to fit....it appears as though your coilpack cover is on...is that picture with the Splitfire coils on also?

2.) I am also running a Turbonetics 62-1 turbo and aiming for the 500whp range...what are the specs on your 62-1? Did you go with the .63 ar and stage 5 wheel?

3.) I'm having some serious issues with slicks and offsets....I saw you have some MT slicks on your stock alloys...what size are the slicks? Any kind of fender rolling or spacers? I'm hoping to cram a 26x10.5-16 in the rear...

4.) When aiming for the 600whp range...I've found people have a few problems with their SR's...their stock coils run out of spark (which you've obviously addressed) and fuel becomes an issue. Are you upgrading your injectors? I got rid of my denso 720 for a set of MSD 96 lb/hrs and will be running a 2nd Walbro 255lph fuel pump with -8 feed and -6 return line...what's your fuel plans?

Awesome #'s for having stock cams and bottom end!!! That's very promising! I'm relieved that someone has a similar setup to mine and is putting down those kind of #'s...I was starting to worry that my 62-1 wasn't good for it!

1) It will fit. It is a little tight but it will bolt in.

2)You will be fine aiming for the 500whp range with the 62-1 with the t3 stage 5 exhaust housing but I have upgraded to the t4 .58 p trim housing and also have a .68 exhaust housing and wheel to try with the HKS 272's

3)Mine are 26x10.50 et streets with no spacers on the wheels. I wouldn't suggest 16" wheels because if the car hooks and the suspension is allowed to squat with adjustable shocks, the fender will hit the tire if it is any farther out. One a side note: I have adapted a 300z trans into the car to hold up to the twinplate exedy clutch which allows for better 60ft times. The best so far with a low setting on the 2 step was a 1.57.

4)I will probably end up running a frame mount pump and dual -8an lines and rc1200cc injectors to replace the 750cc's I have now for the fuel problems. As for the coil packs, I have already taken care of that with the Splitfire.

Yes. That is the size Mickey Thompson ET Street that I run on the stock alloy wheels.

I thought minimum rim width for 10.5 tire would be 8.5", not 6" in any case?????So you mean I can you my stock 6J wheels with some 8"-10" slicks??????? That would be too good to be true

I wouldn't push the slicks on them but the et streets work fine. Been running them for 1yr and 6months. For the slicks I run a 7.5" steele wheel.

Had to change from the et streets to my BFG Drag radials for the class I have to run next weekend at NDRA @Steele, AL.

Just because the wheel is not wide enough. You need a 1" and 1/2 more width to safely run the slicks because of sidewall flex.

Average 60ft on et streets is 1.60 to 1.55.

All stock guages work and no additional wiring was needed for the factory pieces. Obviously, if you are running the boost, and uego it would be wise to wire those into the unit to utile the upgraded untions of the unit.

ET streets need tubes while street radials don't, right?

Oops, you're right...they're 6". Anyway the ET streets highly suggest that you run tubes. If you run a drag radial (like a bfg or Nitto) you don't need tubes. Correct.

Damn...I'm confused...From one side, BFG 225/50-15 would fit 6J wheels good and won't change gearing much...From the other side, everyone says Mickey Thompsons Streets hook very good, but they will offset gearing very much thus making car slower, and minimum recomended rim is 7.3"...

Kickass. All that head, intake, and manifold work and still with the stock cams. At least you finally got your HKS cams, that engine is gonna put out some major power.

This is very true of the M/T tires. You do loose mph because of the size of tire. Also If you don't keep the car in the powerband offof the line, the tires will make the car bog. Too much traction can be a bad thing. The next tire I am going to try is the BFG Drag radial in a 235/60/15. I know I will have to change the wheels but it is the biggest tire I can run in the ndra power street class and even though it will spin out of the hole, it should still get enough traction to pull me down the track. HOPEFULLY!!!!

BTW, I don't think I'll be able to squeeze out more than 270whp this season, what do you reckon, maybe, BFG 225/50 will be more than enough for me?
