I could never give up my armrest, so much nice smooth a** has to slide across that soft leather

But are those heated or something? How deep? You mentionned wires.

Aside from being more cumbersome for road oral, dont you keep alot of things in the console area there?

I'm not saying I have any experience in the matter...

But, I'm pretty certain that if two people were so inclined, nothing short of a WALL would get in the way of such an activity.

Yeah, I also like the armrest, I wouldn't give it up for cup holders. Unless you could cover it up, so that it would look like the original and so you wouldn't end up with cup impressions on her che... uh arms.

Pretty cool way to add places to put stuff. I don't think your finish work is bad at all. If you haven't worked with vinyl much, then it's challenging to get it flat.

What year is that pathy? It looks like it didn't have any factory cupholders at all. Is that true?

W O T - Look at the pictures at the bottom, I think those are lit.

They are not heated or chilld but they do light up. I still need to get a switch to trun them on & off but I jus got everything in I needed to get started so i could wait to instal them. A friend of mine reccommended installing a distrubtion block so that I'm not always tapping into random wires for power but since I'm not competing I'm in no rush so it may be a minute before i get to it.I don't remeber exactly how deep they are but they are pretty deep. If i did'nt use as much foam as I did (1 1/2in.) I would not have been able to open my console. But it will fit a can of Monster or Arizona I try to keep the cluter to a minimum but i do have my Ipod and Ipod connection to my deck in there.

Thank you... Yeah that was my first time ever working with vinyl but i still wish it could be better.My baby is a 95' SE Pathy. She did originally come with what they considered cupholders; at the time; under the armrest. Kinda unfortunate for me my baby did not have hers by time i got her But that was kind of a good thing once i found that write up cuz i never really liked the idea of having to open the console to hold my drink, they were too small for todays cups, and thats how alot of drinks got spilled when someone hit the armrest. I had to remove the console so that i could run the Ipod cable but couldn't at first cuz the heads of the screws were done from all the drinks the previous owners spilled down there, but i eventauly got it off and replaced the hardware.On 96 & up PF and QX4's i think the cup holders are external of the armrest console so i can understand why must would not want to do this to theirs.True shifting will be interesting when i have drinks in the holders but i can still use it as armrest when they are empty... plus it's better than trying to drive stick with a McDonalds sweet tea, 7up slurpee, or Wendy's frosty between my legs

Exactly, my girls 100lbs soaking wet, and it would take a wall and a bat to stop her when she wants it. Its alot easier in the qx4 than it is in the crx thats for sure

Curious how these things light up

Thats one thing i like about the 01+ consoles, theyve got 3 cup holders, that can all hold the massive slushy cups

yeah heres what ours looks like, ignore the flash drive, I now have an ipod tucked away in the glovebox

for my 99.5 QX4 and models after, the 4WD knob was changed to an electronic switch and where the gearshift was a storage console was added which has a neat slowly opening door/cover and when opened the walls are shaped to fit a big gulp the pathfinders i believe never had this, instead they had a tray for smokes. that was up until the 04 i believe when they changed it completely

i used to have an 86 cougar that had digital speedo, powerseats that had as many adjustments as the new benz's do, power windows, analog clock, sweet armrest, but NO cupholders

My Jeep TJ has useless cupholders. Stuff falls out every time I roll over. j/k In all seriousness, you can'y put anything tall in them because they are right up against the seat so you basically sit on them. PITA

I'd show you a picture of what the 99.5 PF LE that I drive has... but aside from the coloring (tan), it's the same as yours. At least, the part in the picture.

The wire for my iPod sticks out one the blank openings near the heated seat buttons. I don't tuck my iPod in the glove because I get in and out of the PF too many times in a night (I do deliveries).

I love the hideaway cup holders on my vehicle!As for ipod connection; I just set my ipod on my front hideaway cup holder and connect it to my HU via front aux input.

{begin gangsta wannabe mode}

O' yea, wuz doin da sam thing yo!!

{end gangsta wannabe mode}

That is, until the stock deck decided to DIE on me. Which was when I bought the new HU. It wouldn't play any cassette and even if you switch to radio or CD, there was no sound coming from it.

I still have the unit, in fact, it's about two feet away from me. One of these days, I'm going to pop it open and mess with it. Who knows, maybe I can actually fix it (doubtful, unless it's just a replaceable fuse or gear).

Well, the unit I have only takes one CD (not multi-disc).

Plus, the way things are set up... I can put all the OEM parts back. I didn't cut/splice or otherwise solder any "original" wires.

Since this PF isn't mine, I'm at the whim of my sister and brother-in-law. My goal is, IF they should ever decide to sell it, I can pull out the HID, speakers and Alpine HU, and put the originals back. Well, mostly. I seem to have misplaced the original H4 bulbs... but then again, I could just buy some standard ones.

OR, if I buy another car, I can transfer those same parts over (if needed).

Git XM. Its so nice listening to new stuff rather than the same ol s*** thats on the Ipod. The way i have my XM hardwired sounds exceptionally awesome, that is, for signals broadcasting from outer space. Delphi skyfi-3, you can record songs right onto the XM unit so you can take it out of the holder and use it as an ipod...with flawless sound quality surprisingly. oh and i am the pickiest person when it comes to sound quality too, i wont use headphones anything short of Bose or Dr. Dre.
