New Rule: Stop building “****-you-mobiles.”

Who are these people who keep buying vehicles that are so bad for the environment, you can actually watch the sky falling in the rearview mirror. I mean, at a cost of 50-100k, wouldn't it just be cheaper to go ahead and get the pen15 enlargement surgery?

I think it looks goofy. The headlights are four times the size of the grille. The whole car is just disproportionate.

I realize that the Camaro has offered some lemons, but every generation has also had its standout high-end version which was a very good car. Now, someone is sure to argue that Mustang has offered some impressive high-end versions as well. The only problem there is that in order to get Z28 Camaro performance out of a high end Mustang, you end up paying more than a Corvette. People say the Mustang is a good bargain. I say its a waste of money. You could get the same performance as a Z28 Camaro for less than the cost of a Z28 by just configuring options on a non-Z28. But Mustang comes in three flavors: The pointless 6-cyl; the underpowered, technologically inept GT, the overpriced GTR, and the insanely overpriced Cobra. For the money you spend on any of those, you can find twice the performance and quality in many other cars. You can't just buy a GT and opt for the GTR suspension and/or engine and pay a little bit more, but with a Camaro, you can get the bottom end and opt in the top engine and suspension components and save a lot of cash. Ford just can't say it's "affordable" anymore. Not when there are Toyota Camry's making within 75 hp of it for cheaper. And that's an economy car, with absolutely zero focus on performance.I just can not see any reason to buy a Mustang. There are so many better cars you can buy for the same price.

My whole thing is, quality. Chevy aint got it, unless they found it since I stoped driving them.

Unreliable. That is the whole reason I made the switch to Nissan, Toyota, or Subaru. I am sure they are better than they use to be, I hope anyway.

EDIT: And before anyone says anything, I hear more positive things about Ford than Chevy, as far as quality. If I was forced to buy one of them, I would go Ford, just due to my previous history with Chevrolet.

A lot has changed since the 80s. GM build quality is way up, especially Cadillac and Buick brands. Nissan is down a bit.

People find it (justifiably) hard to forgive GM for what it did during the Roger Smith era. His shadow still looms over the company sometimes.

While Cadillac and Buick may have improved, I think Saturn has really declined over the years. I think fit and finish on current MY Saturn's are worse than the vehicles they were making in the 90's. And Chevy is still the uhhh..."value brand". They're rebadging Daewoo vehicles...why, GM? Why????????????????????

I do have to say, it looks like Saturn has some interesting products coming up and I'm actually starting to almost like Pontiac (still coming to grips with that one).

I agree, Pontiac has stepped it up a bit. I'm glad they're over that cladding phase they went through. G6 looks like a good car and with and optional northstar V8 it will be better.

I think I am safe to say that Saturn's have never been worth a ****, but this is also my opinion too.

I -love- the Solstice. Not sure if I'd take one over a Miata, since the Miata's dependability record over the last twelve years is nearly perfect. The beltline and side profile give it an aggressive stance.

The Saturn uhhhh...Sky. OK, the name sucks. It really sucks.

But...if the Sky looks anything like this Vauxhall Lightning concept. I'm definitely going to give it a real good look.

And, IMO, the earlier Saturn cars, while somewhat plain and akin to Tupperware felt much more substantial on the inside. They were just really, really boring.

I also agree that it's good to see the G6 and GTO don't have the "ribbed for her pleasure" styling of past Pontiacs.

Ford 4 life!

I do wish they'd offer more then the new Stang and GT though....

I need to root around in the interiors and what not on them (god forbid the idiot that tosses me the keys to either!) and see how they've done...Ford is notorious for using annoying plastic everywhere...

I liked the old Focus better than the new Focus. Experienced a brand new Focus as a rental, and it felt low-rent compared to the old one, and was unbelievably noisy. The radio compensated by making itself louder at highway speeds.

My dad's Trailblazer does that.

Saturn sucks. Bad. Fortunately, the brand is getting a massive overhaul soon. No plastic body panels, no wierdness. Just another GM label. Not that we need another one.

I'd take a Caddillac over a Toyota ANY day of the week. Hell, I'd take pretty much anything over a Toyota. They may be reliable, but that's it. They have proven that they do not know how to make a decent performance car anymore. The Supra was it. Their cars are among the ugliest on the planet, offer ZERO performance, and all have tires and wheel wells that are four sizes too small for the car they are on. Definitely far from appealing. Plus, when you look at their "performance" models, like the Corrolla "S", you'll find that the body work is just extra panels glued on top of the normal ones. That's some high quality stuff, I'll tell you. Personally I'd prefer to drive a Saturn coupe than a Corrolla.

American brands are making a comeback in quality, and aside from Nissan, Dodge and Caddillac are making the best looking cars out there. Plus, the thought of driving a coupe with a 7.1 liter (that's 433 ci, for those of you who think in cubic inches like me) V8 in it just makes me all sorts of giddy.
