Don't hate on me... I'm a Nissan mechanic. First: unless you ride the brakes (one foot on the gas and one on the brake) there is no reason for your pads to wear out that fast. Also, Nissan rotors have a HUGE amount to cut off before replacing. They sould be able to be cut 5-6 times before replacement. Second: there is a fairly new TSB about brake noise. It requires replacement of the front brake pads and calipers. The warranty coverage is 3 years/36,000 miles. DO NOT let them charge you!!! If I were you, I would wait until the survey arrives. Do not fill it out yet. Take it to the dealer and speak with the general manager and explain your situation. If they will not do anything for you, by all means HAMMER them! And for future reference, next time a mechanic tells you your brake pads are low, instead of a percentage of life left tell them you want a specific measurement. I suggest replacement at 2-3mm.

I told them about the TSB and they said they wouldn't replace them for free and would charge me for them because they were so worn down. I seriously hate Glendale Nissan.
