i also have a 93' vert which does this. and it's the second vert i've had that has done this. my 92' had the same problem. i just ended up disconnecting the driver's door switches on both, and figured i would replace the door switches when i get to the dealership sometime....if that's truly the problem. has anyone else had this problem, i'd like to know for myself too.ebalita wrote:

eBay is your best bet, but check with this place first. 5 items up from the bottom, there's an s13 steering wheel. It doesn't have cruise control switch, so you should ask them to make sure it has those contact rings on the back.ebalita wrote:-Steering wheel (The original one is pretty scratched up. Thinking of getting an aftermarket one... but I want to keep the cruise control if at all possible. Come to think of it, the OEM isnt so bad... any leads where I can get a replacement? Hopefully it is not so expensive.. if not... I'll get an aftermarket from eBay or Pep Boys.)

You can replace only the master. Ask someone to switch on/off the radio and you can stick a new one in there.ebalita wrote:-The antenna does not go up or down.
This is a common problem with a vert. I'll do a write up on it soon.ebalita wrote:-The interior light on the windshield keeps going on when i am driving.. usually when i hit a bump. Just replace the switches in the door. Junkyard or new ones. Fixed mine.jamesblonde82 wrote:

Guys, I'll do the write up on it tonight. There's a plastic piece wrapped around here, but it's missing. That's why your door wouldn't shut, so interior switch is not pressed hard enough to turn off interior light. I've found a great solution for this. You should push it back and adjust it after you take care of that plastic piece.Loki wrote:You, sir, have found the long lost sister car to my vert! I had every exact problem you have when I got mine, even the "Pothole Warning Light" with the interior light!. Maybe when I have some time I'll post some of the solutions I came across, if those before me have not done so already.
Here's a quickie:You see the silver door latch type thing? Unscrew that enough to get it loose, move it back towards the interior then tighten it up. Also, tape some electrical tape around the little cylinder of the door latchey thing, to give your door more grip on it. Unless, of course, you have something like this already.
And if this does NOT work (sometimes it stopped working when the weather was really cold, causing my interior light to stay on when the door was closed), then unscrew the little black button and take it out. Simply unplug it and screw it back in. This will turnoff your Pothole Warning Light altogether
Mine eventually got so bad that on a cold day my door refused to close.
That's good to know. I didn't even bother to check with the dealership. $15 is not bad at all.biggie wrote:^ A new door latch piece is like $15 at the Dealership, makes door 'USDM tyte'.
