S13 blacktop in a S13. Basic mods and no gauges to read anything When the motor went in, the car ran great and had good power. As of the last month or so, the power has dropped quite a bit and it seems to run out of fuel at the higher rpms.

First and second gear seem to pull about the same all the way through the rpms (minus the lack of power that it once had) but in the other three gears, once you get around 4k, it feels like it's hitting a speed limiter. It'll still pull but with major hesitation, which is a bit nerve rattling.

Cleaned the MAF sensor and same results. Should the battery get disconnected and reconnected after the the cleaning, in order to reset the ECU?

Also, any ideas and/or suggestions on which direction I should be going with this, in order to get it running where it needs to be? Thanks

Running a Walbro and a stock fuel filter. Wether it's the fuel filter or not, I will replace the fuel filter.

Plugs haven't been changed in a while, so I don't know what kind and what gap they are set at. Any recomendations on type and gap?

The only thing that was keeping me from thinking that it wasn't a fuel issue (even though that's what it seemed like) was the fact that when I get to a lower elevation, the car runs stronger. Maybe my thought process is flawed but if I'm running lean and increase the air density (going to lower elevation) that would make it even more lean, correct? Which shouldn't make it feel more powerful... hrm...

Can FPRs go bad or get overwhelmed over a period of time? Running the stock FPR and maybe my lack of power is due to running too rich and giving me the same type of symptoms... but then again, why would it happen all of a sudden?

Once again, thanks
