Man I feel old! :( I don't even recognize half of the names mentioned. Personally when I'm in that kind of mood I listen to Metallica, Dio, Scorpions and other metal from the 80's. Like I said, I'm old.

HAHA, YES! old rock is the best. Man on the Silver mountain by Rainbow is one of my all-time favorite songs. i saw journey and foreigner live in 2001. that was one hell of a show. Im a BIG fan of 80s rock. Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Def Leppard, Dio, Deep Purple. oh man, the list will never end.

Finally someone with taste!! I don't know if there is a bigger Queensryche fan than the Hitman. Mindcrime has got to be the best album to rock out to ever made!:ylsuper

They're an awesome band, but they aren't exactly what I call hard.

If you've ever heard them, then you should have sensed my sarcasm.

Hopesfall is good, they got robbed of all their equipment twice... Thrice is epic live. It's too bad they get grouped in with **** like Good Charlotte in the "New punk".

OOGA CHAKA OOOGA CHAKA OOGA OOGA CHAKA... haha, what a damned fruit.

Seriously, Pantera is off the scene now, unfortunately, but if you have never listened to them I highly recommend it. I haven't picked it up yet, but a very good friend has told me to get the new Soulfly. Real kick in the sac.

I saw Queensryche, Halford Band (former front man of Judas Priest), and Iron Maiden a couple years back in Portland... such a killer show.

At the time I was in a Maiden cover band... so it was especially cool!

Has anyone recommended Grade?

Probably not, they're a local canadian band with the BEST stage energy ever.

How about:

poison the wellin flamesrise againstsaosinthricefuneral for a friendalexisonfirethe usedstory of the yearbilly talentboy sets fire

i'm just listing off random bands i listen too, they're all "heavy". I dont want to argue about any of this genre crap either, so if you disagree, don't tell me about it.

dude, you forgot the entire Screaming for Vengeance album...

haved you tried Armored Saint yet?

perhaps some Dio.

and for the hair in you, some Motley Crue? for anyone that likes older rock, check out the Darkness, the guy's singing is weird and to some, annoying, but it's no doubt that they rock.
