Hey Scott, its me Erik.
The only thing about the RB26 pan is the clearance on the rear part of the sump. It BARELY clears the front portion of the subframe. I would be afraid that with a very powerful engine, such as yours, and from the power of it, it would torque the motor and flex the mounts just enough to always torque onto the subframe. That is what I am even scared of right now, and my engine has no signicicant power adders. If worse comes to worse I am gonna just unbolt the subframe and lower it just enough so I can grind away at the part of the sump that touches the subframe.
And this hood clearance is killing me lol. I haven't fully closed the hood yet, but man it is close. The top of the front timing belt cover (RB26 inscribed), is just barely under flush with the tops of the front fenders. But this shouldn't be a problem since the stock hood is ever so slightly raised in the middle, and has no framing on it exactly where the motor comes close to it.
I'll let you know. All we have to do is the down-pipe and the intercooler piping. We should be done by next weekend and we will get her started.
