Need help with electronic limiter (govenor)

Well I a can attest for the Altima 3.5 6MT that it can do at least 149mph before the limiter kicks in. I did this last weekend in Utah at a UtahNissans meet while trying to keep up with a GTR and some 300zx that was pushing 600whp. the car was at 5300rpms.. and it felt very stable at those speeds.

My 3.5SE 6MT wouldn't do past 140mph. I was holding it there for about 5 seconds and wouldn't push any higher. I wonder how yours hit 149mph???

But yeah, the 3.5SE suspension is solid at that speed. I can't wait until I get the tein coilovers, endlinks and sway bars in there!

false. i have a 2.5 and i know for a fact that i do NOT have ABS.

right, 2007 model had abs as optional equipment. 2008 models had it as standard equipment. and there is no law to have abs on all cars.

Reading the threads im jelous, with california traffic it is hard to even reach 100 unless its like 1AM! I have hit 110 on after market wheels and the Eibach kit, and it handles great but then again the fwy was just redone so it was really smoth to drive on......and mine has brake drums......J/K

yes you do. ABS is not some button you press in your car, there is no reason why Nissan would not equip all of their cars with ABS (antilock braking system)

According to Nissan's brochure, in 2007 ABS was an option for the 2.5S's - available as a stand alone ABS option (?) or in the SL package.http://thedorscheldifference.c...a.pdf

its an option, not standard. 08+ has ABS standard. 07 2.5 was an option. a pricey option at that too.

and thanks for breaking it down to me what ABS stands for. i was lost without that. P.S. hop off marlins junk.

and im still waiting to see where it is required by federal law that all cars must have abs
