okay, heres my problem. Recently, my left front was struck by a curb . Rim and tire are in decent shape but i broke a tension rod. So in order to get to emissions with out being fined (last day) i chained up the left front. When driving i hear a grinding sound, almost as if my pads are rubbing on the left front. Not sure though, as it doesn't make the noise in reverse. Ive looked it over, and nothing looks to be rubbing on rim or tire. Also it looks like i bent a tie rod. So my question is what is the noise and should i be worried. And please, no smart *** answers.

Struck by a curb, I was under the impression they are normally inanimate objects, unless of course someone picked the curb up and threw it at your car. Okay okay, I couldnt help it, now on to the advice. I dont know what you "chained up" but that really does not sound safe at all, especially if its making grinding noises, I would advise parking the car until you can get it fixed.

PS. How did you manage to end up in the path of this so called evil car wrecking flying curb?

i was driving down a road and my car decided to slide on me so i said "hey that was fun, lets do that again" and then this curb just popped up out of nowhere and hit my car. Nah seriously i was drifting and the pavement went from wet to dry in a spot and gripped way to hard and i hit a curb. And what i chained up was the left front suspension from moving around while the car was moving. but yeah those damn curbs
