2006 M35X 126k
2 wks ago she studdered on the interstate and threw the P0340 code and did it twice more that day. No codes or fits for a week.
It became hard to start, rurning over maybe 10 times and then started. And would randomly die.
I replaced both camshaft position sensors and crankshaft sensor. It still throw the P0340 code when it tries to crank.
No obvious wiring issues leading to the sensors and no recent trauma anywhere else.
I need to trust her again, what's the fix?

It's a reach but I would clean up all of the grounds in your engine bay...remove the grounding points, clean the contact points, and re-install.

Also, welcome to the forum albeit under sad circumstances.

Ensure the oil is at the correct level
Check that the battery is good, have it tested at an auto shop if you must.
Did you use OEM sensors?

Hi there! I'm having the same code, I'll be ordering all FOUR sensors: 2 camshaft position sensors: 237312Y52A
2 crankshaft position sensors: 237314M50B
My symptom is exactly as described in this thread:

help-p0340-won-t-go-away-2006-infiniti- ... 76333.html

I use a scanner and I clear the code. I let the engine cool down for about 30 minutes, it'll start back up no problem and no codes. I'll keep you guys posted after I replace all sensors. I'm currently looking where to buy them for lowest price. Cheers!

Sorry, I forgot to add:
I have a 2006 M45S w/ ONLY 47k miles on the odometer.
I just noticed the OP has M35, not sure if there's 2 crankshaft sensors.

For the 06 M45, check this out:

Out of curiosity, what search terms are people using? I would assume my thread would come up before the one from 2013 you linked.

Is it still hard to start? If not the code might take a while to disappear if you didn't delete with a scan tool. Did you replace with oem?
