heh...go with rims\tires and intake since it seems your bf is more interested in looks. He will get a small increase in hp with header or a intake. I would ask him which he wants. I just think the intake looks a little prettier than a header but its your choice.

get him an injen cai. will run you about 300 bucks. Then id say look into some rota wheels. Maybe subzeros with like falken azina(sp) tires. should run you 400 for tires, about 400 for wheels, intake 300. so you will spend about 1100 bucks. if its out of your price range drop off the cold air extension, and just get him an injen short ram intake. Just the short ram will cost you about 200, which will put you in the price range. Rota wheels are knockoff, but are pretty lightweight and actually good rims. My friend nick gets awsome prices on them if you are interested. azina tires by falken look bad ***, and are actually pretty decent tires. Yeah, its Azenis, dont make the wheels to big, cuz the azenis stop at 17s. I love those tires. My bro was disappointed when he couldnt get some for his 18s

or if your bf is decent at installation, you could get him rims/tires, and a set of springs. Get H & r springs, or eibach sportlines. Springs will run you 200 bucks. Azenis would look so tight on a lowered 240 with 17's. Ahh i cant wait till i get my new tires, and the snow stops falling here in chicago so i can drive my baby again and stop driving my pos integra.

If you're gonna surprise him, you might want to hold back on the wheels unless you know for sure they're the kind that he wants. Everyone has their own taste, but I'm sure know his by now. Thats just me though, I'm picky when it comes to wheels. If he has a fastback I recommend looking into the 180sx taillight conversion.
