Bought it today, OMG THERES a 240sx on the damn thing. woooooooooooooo!!!!! I love this game any one else got it?

Yeah, I like it a lot too, just wish it had a S14 on it also. Seems that quite a few people on the board think its "ricerific" though.

Yes, I have the game, thats why i havent been posting on the forums to much. I am on challenge number 88 I think and I am in the Skyline. I did have the 240sx though, and had some kouki 180sx tailights on it, sweet. Lots and lots of rice though

Isn’t it funny that there are more Nissans then anything in the game?240sx, Sentra SE-R, 350Z, Skyline while only 3 Hondas?

I like how you can purge b4 a race, looks cool especially in the skyline, 2 white plumes shooting out. Sweet. I hate how they make you rice out your car in order to gain reputation points. BTW, what is you alls longest drift that you have ever held, and not hit the wall? Mine is 43,564 in the 350z.

My main beef with the game is that when you buy an upgrade the brand names associated with each package often dont even produce parts of that type...that and IM SICK OF GETTING VINYL. How do you purge nitrous? just spray before the race starts?

Yeah, just press the nitrous button and you purge. It just looks cool, but it doesnt help you out any, it actually slows me down. I only do that when im racing against my friends to show off or w/e. BTW, I have the game for Xbox, and not PS2. I also hate the body kits, yuck. No Japanese body kit manufacturers, just american bull crap wannabes.

I got 43,000 (couldn't remember exact number) from one drift also, but in a RX-7. It really pissed my friend off (he's the one who bought the game) because he's been playing ever since wednesday and hasn't gotten anywhere near that. I did it like my 5th drift session. hehehe

Could be because he's a honda fanatic. But the funny thing is, I tried the drift in his civic and it seemed easier.

The specs on each car are soo...dont really know the word to describe it except arcadey, not really true, but not really false, and it seems all of the cars are about the same except look different.

My friend claims it's all based on the actual cars'.

Nope, I dl the demo version and the graphics are crappy, really crappy. Just get it for xbox or ps2, on $10 extra.

oh, sorry to hear that, well, its only the graphices and thats it, that really bothers me. There are different modes of play. Drift, my favorite, Drag, Circuit, and Sprint. its usually 1v.3, free for all. I dont know about you playing with another friend, dont know how that would work out. Its great fun, especially on the drift mode. I'd say buy it.

I dunno if I would reccomend it for anything but rental. It doesnt seem like Im going to want to go back and play it more after I beat it. Ill probably just pull out the wheel and pedals and give Gran Tourismo 3 more play time (as if it really needs any more I swear that game has taken up so much of my time :-) )

Im leaving as I speak now to go pick up a copy for PC, I noticed that they said PC gamers and PS2 gamers can compete together online? is that right? If so, thats pretty tight! I'll challenge some of ya when i get good =)

man, im farther than all yall, i have 5 more challenges to go, right now im drifting against my friend. 350z with stage 2 turbo, and suspension mods r the best to drift in.

OMG! im so pissed! i check 3 local stores for NFSU AND THEY SOLD OUT!!! Just my luck.... They told me to come back tomorrow or Tuesday but I know I wont be cuz im too lazy.....

Now the question is...

Is it really worth it for my lazy *** to go to the local store tomorrow to check again!?

Uhh, it is a game, it's coming out January or February next year. From what I heard it's gonna be horrible. I'll end up renting it probably anyways just for the hell of it, just like I did with the movie. Or wait for my friend to rent it, he's a sucker for racing games haha.

My friend was also playing it (NFS for ps2) for at least an hour, and I come in and want to drag him, and I just own him 8 out of 10 times. Oh man that was fun as hell. I owned him mostly on drag. But the first time was on a circuit track, I never played it before. And he said he raced a few times on the track and I whooped him on it. Killed his confidence.

PC graphics seem pretty good to me, maybe you just didn't have the resolution turned up. (Standard is 1024x768 for a 17 inch monitor), and turn the detail up on full. The demo's regular setting was 800x600 and medium detail for me. You can also turn on motion blur on it, like on ps2 and xbox.

Hmmm. I have a hard time beleivng that any console game would look better than a PC version. I mean, the console only puts out miniscule reolution. I am gonna get it and see what my rig can do it at (I can run Halp PC at 1280x1024 and get over 75 FPS w/ everythign turned on and MOH:AA at almost 120 FPS at 1600x1200 w/ everything turned up)

But if the game was originally produced say for PS2 when they converted it to PC and Xbox they might not have taken the time to optimize it for the new graphics renderers. I dont have a clue wether they did or not, but that might be a reason graphics would be worse.

i already beat the game i used the 240sx the whole time and my longest drift is like 45,000 something

The graphics are perfect in the PC, worse in Game Cube and terrible in PS2, it’s the counsel that dictates the graphics not the game manufacture
