Do you wonder if sometimes the car is the one in control?SVTCOBRA wrote:Rear wheel drive! I'll see if I can dig up another thread that was very similiar. But, the real selling point will be you driving the TL and the G back to back! That's what convinced my wife who was sold on the TL. We were ready to pull the trigger on a slightly used TL at the Infiniti dealership. She drove both back to back and picked the G.
Oh, btw, I was already SOLD on the G, but the wifie picks her own ride. She doesn't steer a car she drives it!

From what I have seen so far, I really am starting to like this car.. I have my first test drive in the morning, and am really looking forward to it...
I know this is a biased audience (just a little) , but with the prices of both cars being very comparable, is there anything that really stands out on the G35 that someone that has ownded an Acura coupe might be able to give me some advice on, or anything I should know, that would make the G35 the obvious decision ??
Thanks in advance !Druggist
Please report back. Would like to know what you think good or bad.sbdruggist wrote:I have my first test drive in the morning, and am really looking forward to it...

Telcoman, the G has that now. It displays the number and times the call.telcoman wrote:
The Acura had caller ID display on the dashboard on incoming calls on bluetooth
Acura's interior is a step above the G and has a slightly more refined interior. Exterior, just like everyone says, thats personal preference. Personally, I like the old G's exterior better than the new styling.soul_hfk wrote:i test drove a TL be4 the G i have ..... need i say more
Those AT were from 2000-2003 and it was an oil jet fix that was causing a problem between 2nd & 3rd gear. Unfortunately, I know all to much about this but it was fixed under warranty without a penny from my pocket.rn79870 wrote:sd, welcome to NICO. You'll have answered your question by the time the drive is over tomorrow. I looked at the Acuras one time, but I never went back because a friend used to be a service writer for an Acura dealer and he kept telling me stories about Acura's and why he didn't like them. Apparently they had a few problems with their AT's and that was enough for me.
well i dont think so and that is 1 of the reasons i got the G and no way would i get a Cadillac over this car any day cause GM car are not very reliable and to say the old G looks better then the new 1 is nuts the new1 is HOT!!!pits200 wrote:Acura's interior is a step above the G .
Great news. So now I can start thinking about a new one when my extended warranty expires in 2012rn79870 wrote:

Well, Test drive has been accomplished.
I drove a tricked out (electronics pkg) infinity G, and overall, I was totally blown away. I havn't looked at a new car for about 5 or so years now, and all the new things they have added just blew me away..Such as...The whole nav system (which... since I only drive out of town about 4-6 times a year, is a questionable need), the back up camera, the laser cruise control, the keyless entry system, voice recognition, etc etc...The car was very fun to drive, it sounded very "throaty" and very powerful.. The biggest thing I didnt like, compared to the Acura, or my current Honda Accord, is the door on the left hand side of my body, felt "close".. I am 6 foot, and 260lbs, and there was plenty of driver room infront, and to the right of me.. the drivers door just felt pushed in and close on that side.. Not sure if it was uncomfortably close, just felt very different.
So, overall, I really am leaning towards the infiniti.. Now, I have to decide 2door or 4...
So, the ? I would like to ask you next, is to comment on the nav/tech system, and let me know if you would pay the extra money, and still buy it again, after having and using for it for awhile...
Thanks again, for the warm welcome, and opinions !!Druggist
