When you're ready to impress that someone special many hotels that cater to business travelers during the week have weekend specials. Check in shower, & then ..... her good. Go have a nice saturday night dinner with her, .....your brains out with her. She'll love you long time. Shower again ..... some more Wake up Sunday ....some more have a nice brunch.... some more, shower again and check out. I don't think you'll be going back to .....in your G anymore after that workout.

Those AT were from 2000-2003 and it was an oil jet fix that was causing a problem between 2nd & 3rd gear. Unfortunately, I know all to much about this but it was fixed under warranty without a penny from my pocket.

Both cars are reliable, but you always have to give the slight edge to Honda even though Nissan is right up there. So it pretty much is not a factor when determining which car to buy.
There was more involved than just an oil jet. I spoke to an Acura tech about the problem. He said that the engine was too powerful for the ATs. Customers who brought their cars in for transmission problems were taken care of by both repairing the damage and DETUNING the ECU. A lot of them complained, but didn't know what happened.

The test drive is the best seller of the G!!! Now, go pull the trigger and post up some pics!!! (I would skip the Nav and get an aftermarket IF needed)

I didn't read thru all the posts, but have you considered the Lexus IS350-- very beautiful, powerful car also. Gets excellent reviews.

My brother has an IS350 and absolutely loves it. It is a great car and easily rivals the G in performance. Lexus however does not typically cater to the sports car enthusiast. They certainly have produced a very reliable and predictable vehichle, but for the price point you are getting much more for your money with the Infiniti. My brother and I have continuosly compared the G and the IS, and each conversation ends with the fact that I paid 10K less for my car and can still whomp him everytime in performance and have many more bells and whistles that he does. You should definately test drive the IS and see for yourself which car is right for you, and if you have an extra 10K laying around then by all means pony up the dough for the Lexus.

Just my $.02

I was looking at the is350. Nice car. With 2 kids still in car seats space was limited. I can't believe how much bigger the interior of the g is. Also, rear wheel drive only, not a deal breaker for most but for colorado driving I prefer awd. The is250 is a dog, I would rather get the legacy gt spec b for a lot cheaper.

The Legacy is a great car. Looks good. Great motor. And it's quick. When i was buying cars that was one of the 3 i narrowed it down to. (G35, Legacy gt, or GTO)

I test drove the legacy gt as a candidate. It is a nice car. It has a dial that you can turn to adjust to your driving style. Changes the ecu and suspension. sport driving vs. fuel economy-comfort. I liked it a lot.

As sensitive as I'd like to be to the opposite sex I must at this one. We're giving a guy car buying pointers.

If this was a woman, we'd modify that perks to be gender appropriate. It would go something like:

1. Power (but in short explanation, no TQ specs, mentions of VLSD...etc)2. Safety3. Luxury perks
