Sonics on University has kicked the wenesday night groups out, they were overrunning the place and parking in the adjacent businesses. they've moved up to the parking lot on the left corner of University and Alafaya where the mexican restaurant is across from Applebees.

Hey,I,m confused about where and when the 240 guys meet?It was Saturday Evening at 10:30pm?You were meeting just East of Fashion Sqare mall next to the Friday's Restaraunt on East Hwy 50.

Then I saw something about Sonics on University on Wednesday? Then someone said "Sports Authority" is that on Hwy 50 & SR-436?

Now I see you guys gotta get outa town and drive 3 hours south? Can't someone give an SR20DET an an old S13 to the FHP boys!If we get some law enforcement guys involved somehow they willsee it's not the Nissan/Infiniti Crowd acting like fools at thesegatherings. It's the "Ricer Roni" civic crowd!thanks, bob

problem solution.... im new to the forum, but i know the laws dealing with private property (im a security guard). and in that lyes the solution. find some private property. make friends with guards. its that simple. guards can remove anyone from there property. (section 776.031, f.s.) since i am a security guard and we like our fellow partners better than strangers i will try to find some kick *** private property. and only the ones you guys want will be allowed to go. and if your wanting to know what 776.031 is it says. non deadly force may be used by a security officer to the extent necessary for self defense, or defense of another against the use of unlawful force or to prevent or terminate tresspass or "interferance" with property he has a legal duty to protect. also another hint. police cannot go on private property unless they have probable cause. i.e. buisness alarms, fights (witnessesed) and or called to the seen by owners or security officers.

We have a lot of good shops around here. We have Enjuku Racing here in Orlando and Secret Services in Tampa. These 2 mainly specialize in Nissan's.

I don't get it, why are you against rice? I'm Japanese, I eat rice every day.

Yes, I'm really Japanese/American. Sorry, I'm a newbie, is it a dumb question? I saw lot's of anti-rice posts. I figured out that you aren't talking about the rice I eat, but people who do something that messes up your meets.

lol, sorry about that man...

"rice" is the annoying cars with the loud exhaust, tacky paint/stickers, etc.. who do stupid things that attract police attention. we prefer to keep our meets fairly low key, with only chill people coming out. it helps us keep control of the situation, and with the new spot we've yet to be harassed by anyone BECAUSE we don't allow those types of people to hang out there:) you should come check it out if you get a chance! its alot of fun! Welcome to NICO too:D

Thanks. So, how did the term "rice" come to be associated with these undesirable elements?

I would show up, but Orlando is a hike from here in Miami. Is there anything down here?

By the way, it's those "ricers" in Civics who are breaking into our Infiniti's to steal the HID ballasts. My friend who owns a body shop says the repair costs about $6,000.

"rice burners" was originally coined by domestic owners to refer to anyone who drove a japanese car, it was a derrogatory word meant to describe what domestic drivers felt to be crappy cars...

the term has been accepted by the import community to describe any car that is outlandishly tacky, or just plain stupid (predominatly japanese imports, but there is also american rice)

and yeah those HID's are big money for ricers... there's been alot of new maxima's showing up at Nissan recently with no headlights, and broken mounting points! that must suck!

Oh, I get it now. I've seen those kids in tricked out Civics.

The new thing now is that there is a gang who is stealing the third row seats from SUV's. I don't know what they do with them, but it costs a lot of money to replace those seats. I heard something like $8,000 for a Navigator. The police advice all people to keep the third row seats locked up at home if possible. Do you have the same problem in Orlando? Do you have any idea what they are doing with all those seats?
